"visited the dog today with the family for a birthday meal. we do not eat as a family very often as it can be hard work with a baby and a small child, but we all had a great time. the staff is very friendly and helpful. nothing was a problem at all, even if my little boy decided to throw his chicken on the floor (again, so I'm sorry). a real relaxed, friendly atmosphere and eating was beautiful. amazing carvery with so much to choose from and very large portion sizes! excellent value for money. the youngest 2 had a chicken nugget menu that was delicious again. large pieces delicate chicken breast. I couldn't resist trying a few myself, and it was by far the nicest child meal I've ever had everywhere! we all had a ball and will definitely come back soon!"

Went for Sunday carvery,£6-99 for medium ,choice of 2 meats and help yourself to rest,excellent value ,meal lovely and hot,pleasant and helpful staff,certainly go again .

Fantastic carvery with brilliant selection of veg. Friendly staff and good atmosphere in pub. Looked through the menu and there's a very good choice without crazy prices. We'll definitely be returning here

Excellent carvery, the food is cooked perfectly every time with lots of choice. Has become a new favorite. The staff are always friendly and you can tell they also get on with each other and customers so the pub has a happy welcoming atmosphere. There is a good sized car park too.

You need to state on your website that you do not do a carvery on a Tuesday it makes out that you do do a carvery on a Tuesday on your website you could have saved me a wasted journey the food is lovely Really nice But £2.50 for a cup of coffee is a bit Out of order but lovely grub 4 star

Great food at great prices with friendly staff that really make you feel welcome. We had not been for a few years because of Covid 19 etc but were pleasantly surprised at the improvement in service and food compared to the last time we visited. We all had a really lovely meal and would definitely return.

Had the braised steak last night and it was absolutely beautiful and as a porky pig I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the portion served with home made fries and then told I could help Myself to any veg I liked from the carvery counter. Taste first class, quantity first class and value for money also first class
