"I agree with some reviews herein but disagree with several of the negative. My wife and I favor modern design but found the older style very charming and comfortable. The atmosphere is elegant and the service very attentive and responsive. There was a quiet sophisticated...atmosphere. We found the food very very good and very expensive. My only complaint was the limited french style towards non French speakers about the details of the food. The more subtle and interesting details. They seemed to be a bit surprised and repeated somewhat vague descriptions. Perhaps language barrier? It was not arrogant but close. We very much liked the severs who took care of us. After one week in Italy and one week in France it was the first restaurant which served a delicious, soft, flavorful bread service worth eating. How can the two countries known for fabulous bread serve bread that basically we let the wastefulness discard uneaten? Not here. Our entrees were great and the dessert soufflé incredible. Presentation beautiful. Overall I give it a strong recommendation with some few caveats. One of the best meals we’ve had in days in Europe."

French food at its finest! We had dinner here on different occasions and the food was amazing. I truly don't understand why this restaurant doesn't have full starts on Tripadvisor.

A great location on the hill surrounded by pine trees but the decoration is out of fashion. The service was fine but not great, the food was fine but expensive. You can have better around the area. Ver carta

very friendly setting. It's not a bad entry. Medium service.Fish properly cooked. We asked to replace the tian of vegetables with a crushed potato for health reasons (which was on the map with another dish) it was counting on supplement card of limited wines we did not take dessert

Amazing location, very nice and professional staff.. the only negative point is...Food. I ordered a lobster pappardelle and I got a “calamarata” that was actually a Paccheri with lemon..so much lemon that I am not sure there was any kind of seafood in the plate....(For a restaurant of this level it would have been nice to offer what is clearly a wrong dish instead of a glass of wine when they understood the error.. Same happened with the dessert, lemon... Nothing to say about the price, absolutely reasonable once the chef will be changed.

After 3 weeks and at least as many restaurants in the area, I can say this one is the best this year. Location, view, design, service and food. It's rare for me to be enchanted in all this aspects the same evening. The park is a delight, the terrace and the garden views are magnificent. Actually we were talking that this is the best location for a wedding. Service was high class, not intrusive, but careful and professional, he food was very good with tastes that change you from all the other restaurants. The vine list is impressive, maybe more medium price offer could be better. The hight class (and price) wines are excellent. The hotel is part of the group Sibuet who also operates the Les f... We went with great expectation to this restaurant which has exceptional surroundings and decoration. The table we got was perfect, but we expected better service and better food. We got the menus after waiting for 10 mn and we had to request twice the wine list to place an order. The starters were OK, but the fish was very dry on the edges and my Paillard de veau (Grilled piece of veal) which had a good taste was really too cooked and chewy. The side dishes and vegetables were well cooked and tasty.I think we were lucky there was not too many customers otherwise we would have been waiting a very long time for being served. We will certainly go back for a drink but not for dinner or lunch. Too...

the framework is the only thing that deserves a good rating. Service not worthy of a gourmet restaurant: not everyone speaks (no understands!) English; the fish served in the last minute plate doesn't have the same presentation for everyone (I had a server with experience that brought me a well-presented plate, one of my friends a presentation worse than that of the school canteen!.) With regard to taste, the observation is desolating. a no-original card, a tuna fade in entry or a greedy gaspacho so spicy not to succeed in completing it. for the main dish the choice was a fade fish (metro or picard) with badly cooked eggplants (not to say raw) and a "black angus" very similar to a lower coas...

"Cap 21 Les Murenes is so good that we visited three times in a week with a group of friends. It was, without doubt, our beach restaurant of choice. The wine, white and rose was excellent and the food, bordering on spectacular. The restaurant has...changed in appearance since last year, due to the new regulations for buildings on the beach introduced for the area following last season and even though the bar area is smaller and there are slightly less tables, it has managed to retain its charm. We ordered some plates of 'Encornets Provencal ' (sliced sautéed squid cooked in garlic) for the table, which was probably excessive but worth every calorie and it was magnificent. The starters of Moules a la Mariniere or alternately with basil; Thai chicken salad; Spring Rolls; Caesar Salad; Tuna Sashimi were all highly praised. I had Tuna Salad one day and that was my least favourite dish even though the tuna was nicely cooked, the plethora of fairly plain salad leaves overshadowed it. Sadly, my hit starter from previous visits of 'Crab, Avocado and Mango wasn 't on the menu this year. Amongst the ten of us, we sampled most of the main courses during our visits. The Escalope de Veau was huge; the sole large and celebrated; the seafood linguine generous in both linguine and seafood whilst on each of the three visits I opted for the 'Gambas flambeed in Persillade (garlic and parsley). If you like huge gambas, this should not be missed. Unfortunately, the sole was only available on our first visit and having seen it, I would have opted for that once as an alternative. Whatever you do, order a plate of their chips/frites that are wonderful. I am not sure how they cut and cook them but on each of our visits, the chips at Cap 21 rated amongst the best I have ever had. Whereas Cap 21, like most restaurants in St. Tropez or at the beach isn 't cheap by any means, the restaurant translates as great value for money, amongst the best food for taste and consistency I have experienced (particularly for a beach bar) and exemplifies all the pleasures of visiting the area. Without doubt, Cap 21 is a must visit and one to put on your list at least once (and probably far more) if you are in the area. A gem!"
