very good old and beautiful restaurant. plentiful offer for every taste. good beer, and eating tastes excellent. price performance is very good!

Food tasteless and much beyond the expectations after checking the menue. Only for people who loves nice view and and historic location, but not for foodies at all.

We where here with friends and could get our meal past the normal closing time for lunch in Germany. Food was good, service attentive and friendly and we will come back, if again in this region Ver carta

Great little Restaurant next to the Cathedral and Castle. Very friendly service english spoken. You must try the "Beergoulash" ...it's a goulash served inside a loaf of delicious bread and comes with a beer....only Euro The view from the veranda over old town Meissen..

the service very friendly without acting, eating very well (supply as an appetizer, wild boar-back steak or bark-roulade as a main dish with cold black beer, the chef knows what he does), the terrace with a view over meißen fantastic. will definitely return here and enjoy the stay! Ver carta

through a tipp we chose this locally and that was also good. at a beautiful look we enjoyed a biergulasch (10,90€) and the rugged frying pan (14,90€). although it was rather windy on the square in front of the restaurant and on the day was not so warm you could sit on the terrace cozy (almost windstill). small tipp, if you go straight through the local to the terrace, if this is full, there is still one above that you reach a staircase in the restaurant.

Meissen is a pleasant enough town dominated by the Albrechtsburg which we did not visit and the cathedral which we did. The Domkeller is in the square reached by at least two separate sets of steps or by a funicular round the other side of the hill and quite a walk from the town centre. As other reviewers have noted there is a marvellous view of the town, there are binoculars and sunglasses on the outside tables, sadly on the day we were there the rain did its best to block the vista. Instead of the usual leather purses staff bring round music boxes when it is time to pay. The food was good my wife recommends the potato sausage soup. Ver carta
