Sorry to arrive to find it closed on a Tuesday lunchtime ..staffing issues perhaps? Lots of people arriving to locked doors.

I had my birthday party last week in the dornie hotel restaurant, cooking jann was very helpful to our needs, food were great and price were reasonable, definitiw back.

We booked for the restaurant a month in advance, confirmed by email. When we arrived by taxi, the place was closed. It would have been nice for them to let us know. Thankfully the Chachan pub nearby was open and serving good food.

Very expensive with a lot of the menu options not availableThis place advertised as a good seafood restaurant but the only seafood available was salmonThe bar is not very welcomeing quite cold and extremely expensive not even a good pint of beer either

part 2: stay to breakfast! There is no menu, so don't ask for one. don't be on their handy when you come host on their table! there are two options to the breakfast: full breakfast (eier, toast, speck, sausage, haggis, black pudding, boren, tomatoen) or rührei with smoked salmon. delicious food and the host (osh) was absolutely fantastic!

the room is large enough, bed and bathroom ok, but . no garderobe, only a dressing hook firmly closed at the door window in the storm, it pulls strongly across the room because the window toilet flushing does not close without function - not too friendly reception outside the door can be closed arbitrarily because the closing cylinder is so badly mirrored on the floor

Was up here on business and stayed for three nights such a warm friendly welcoming from Jenn on arrival. Admittedly this wee place is work in progress as they have not long taken over but Rome wasn’t built in a day and the work done so far has made a difference. Spotlessly clean spacious bedrooms fantastic Breakfast great views winning formula in my eyes big thanks to all the family for a lovely stay.

The best thing that could happen to this place is to be knocked down. If you like a musty damp smell when you arrive with mixed deco that looks like it’s been dropped off from a car boot then this is for you. Rooms dated, when you shower well that’s a whole new experience, showers are shocking and again musty smell coming from it. You feel more dirty after having a shower than you do before. If you want a quite nights sleep then check which room you are in as we had seen doors with gaps at the top and could hear everything from these rooms.So if you want a old care home with a damp smell, random deco and what feels like a haunted house then this is for you otherwise stay away
