The selection is so big that you don't know what to start with...and the food is just super mega tasty!!! If we lived in gera we would be regular guests!

Ich hab noch nie im Downtown gegessen, aber war schon sehr oft da auf ein paar Drinks.Die Auswahl an Bier (vor allem auslaendischen) ist riesig. Mir wuerde keine andere Location in der Umgebung einfallen wo ich ein Asahi extra dry bekommen koennte.Und die Milchshakes sind absolut unschlagbar.

We were eating 12 people yesterday. The service overwhelms, long waiting time for the food, in the demand for how long it lasts: it's a lot going on, but I can help with in the kitchen. Well, then I wanted to drink a milkshake and it came back that the machine was broken.. And that for years. After we asked to activate the heating mushroom, the person addressed me rudely naughty without any reason. I don't think that's fair...

Wir gehen immer wieder gerne ins Downtown am Geraer Bahnhof. Das Ambiente ist besonders. Gelegen in einem Kellergwölbe konnte das rustikale Gefühl beibehalten werden. Es gibt einen Raucher- und einen Nichtraucherbereich. Außergewöhnlich ist die sehr große Getränkekarte mit besonders vielen Flachenbieren aus aller Welt. Auch das Essen ist gut. Thüringer und deutsche Spezialitäten. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist auch sehr gut. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich.

Simply a great restaurant, a small green oasis in the city stroll with relaxed, friendly staff, delicious limes and cocktails, food and beers from all over the world. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of choices of vegetarian dishes. Kid-friendliness: There are half servings for children and also some real egg cakes and something more creative than fries and fish sticks. Otherwise, everyone in the team is very tolerant, attentive and respectful-loving in dealing with kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Man jann with wheelchair in summer super at the table. Indoors and the toilets are only accessible by stairs.

Das Downtown ist mittlerweile zu meinem Stammlokal avanciert. Der Grund dafür ist die gediegene, rustikale Atmosphäre im Kellergewölbe, die nette Bedienung und natürlich die Karte.Und Leute, die Karte ist der Hammer! Ich bin Whiskeyfan und habe nirgends eine umfangreichere Karte gesehen. Auch Bier gibt es ohne Ende. Ich habe sogar mein Lieblingsbier aus der Dom. Rep. entdeckt! Natürlich habe ich dort auch schon gegessen und egal was es war, es war immer supi! Positiv fällt auf das die Küche bis 1 Uhr geöffnet hat und das man hier einen großen Raucherbereich hat, in dem man wahlweise auch essen kann! Finde ich als Raucher natürlich genial, da es das sonst nirgends mehr gibt.Auch den Nichtrauc...
