"Appalling fish and chips served to us tonight which cost over were a total disgrace. Being local and with lockdown allowing our local chippy to open we thought I might be nice to treat ourselves. I genuinely wish we hadn't. Chips which were black and disgusting and poor quality fish at a rip off price. Most of the food went in the bin it was that bad!! On complaining, the person who spoke on the phone blamed the potato supplier and offered to let the manager know, but why would you even serve bad food. As it turned out, on being asked his name, it was the owner.. So why lie and blame others? Speaks volumes!! Clearly doesn't care about customers or the quality of food he serves. Truly shocking. Definitely never buy from them again. Not that this business will be bothered I'm sure. This is not the first time the food has been poor but this is the last straw."

we enjoyed the fish and chips, especially the extra tartaric acid sauce pot, it was a nice tasty, crispy fish battery, had to wait to cook min, but fresh from the friier, a tad expensive, but worth it. Ver carta

was worth the trip for the sharper before we got our food! Definitiw worth on the look for the foot-long pigs in deck dinner with engraved and a whispery wee spoon of the cranberry sauce! absolutely fantastic!

I ordered fish sauces. I was served by the loudest, unimaginable person. I went out. I'm mischievous, living in england, here on holiday. Two fish sauces where I live, cost tops. what a break. I am embarrassed to be scottish, where it is taken for granted, the tourist is begged.

visits the dark chip shop and chip reels that cost them must be by far the worst chips I've ever had, the chips were so dry that they were hard to eat, they were boiled when I waited so they can't understand why. they were so dry after they just come out of the frit, never again Ver carta

immersed during the holiday for the week in the village. beautiful fish and chips and the Haggis juicer was also delicious. fish was beautiful and crispy and not greasy. really enjoyed. also the staff was friendly and chatting. we live near the coast. home, so I know a decent chippy when I taste it.

very disappointed by this place, loved to go here. the quality of food and the service has slipped out considerably. the bearish guy behind the counter was extremely rude to a customer before me and was very short with me when I paid for my eating. the food was under the cut, as the chips tasted and the teig around the fish was soggy. very disappointed.

"We stumbled across this place on the last night of a fortnight in Scotland and couldn 't be more glad that we did and that they had space. We were seated promptly (underneath the fan thankfully considering the heatwave), asked whether we 'd eaten there before (we hadn 't), had the menu explained to us (suggested 3 tapas per person) and then left alone briefly to consider the menu. Once ordered, drinks were delivered in a timely fashion, followed by breads dips to tempt tide us over until our tapas arrived. It wasn 't very quick, but I didn 't think it was unduly long either just the right length of time for non fast food that is being prepared freshly. And when it arrived, we were delighted as it was delicious! The only slight disappointment was that salted cod wasn 't available, but that was soon forgotten. My personal favourite was the poached chorizo in red wine with honey glaze, but we were happy with all of our options (patatas bravas, haggis balls, pinchas de pollo, spinach chickpea stew, haddock in red pepper sauce and Spanish tortilla the latter really made by the spicy tomato salsa on the side). 5 between the two of us would probably have sufficed, which would have meant I had space for one of the ice creams, but in hindsight, I 'm glad I didn 't. Excellent service, delicious food, our best meal of our holiday. We probably won 't be back (living in Birmingham and all) but definitely would if we were local."
