both had the vegan burger with salat and chips, followed by chocolate orange torte with ice (that was gluten-free as well as vegan.) torte was particularly delicious! gorgeous garden with lots of space and beautiful staff.

The staff at this restaurant are exceptional - very friendly and helpful. They always have a great selection of local ales available and a spacious beer garden that is also dog-friendly. The burger and Thai Fish Curry were delicious, although we were a bit disappointed with the mussels during our visit. Overall, good value for money.

We did not stay at the hotel, but called in on the off chance of getting a evening meal. The bar staff were all excellent, polite, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The food we had was first class, well presented and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The hotel bar was we were told renovated in January of this year, and it looked like it. We as a family would whole heartedly recommend the bar and food to anyone.

They have a great selection of local ales and the menu features delicious seafood and fish. The rooms are rated 4 out of 5, the service is 5 out of 5, and the location is also a 5 out of 5. The hotel highlights include its romantic atmosphere, quiet environment, kid-friendly setting, and great value.

Comfortable hotel, good food, perhaps a little too dog friendly for us. Food drinks: We had a 3day B B EM package which was reasonable value but the evening meal package was £26 per person and you could only get 2 courses for that. Also the menu was a bit limited, and would benefit from some basics ie apple pie and custard, they ran out of cheese cake 2 nights running. Portions were a good size although you didn't get much mushy peas with the fish and chips. Breakfast was really good. The hotel is dog friendly but the dining room wasn't. Thank goodness.
