"This place is horrible. If it wasn't for the long lasting sunshine over the corner, there would be no great reason to go here. The guys in the kitchen do make some effort and the ingredients aren't that bad. The service is something between non existent and simple rude. 3 people to serve more than 60 guests around Sunday brunch time is probably a bad ratio. If one of them does not actually attend any table, than there is no hope. The time elapsed between our arrival and the food getting to our table was 1h10m. Would be nice if the food compensates for the wait but not even that. The matching between the description, the reality and the price is just loosely coupled."

I had a brunch here, the place was pretty crowded but the staff this a really good job in order to serve all the clients, however if you are in hurry is probably not the right place. My brunch was excellent

Super politely attentive and accommodating staff. All friendly and some also have a drink. We have breakfast there and everything we fed was fresh and super delicious. You're welcome. But you should really book.

Was doing the Dresden by night walking tour and part of the tour involves going to Eckstein Cafe to talk with the guide about life in the old East Germany. Really nice and relaxing settings to enjoy a coffee or beer to just watch the...world go by. Good music at night and worth looking out for if in the area. Ver carta

yesterday once again in the cafe eckstein, the neighboring got 2 cocktails with a piece melone. My wife said to me "so a piece melone I would also like". that must have heard the nice service, a minute later stood a small dish with 4 small melon pieces in front of it, and of course was not calculated extra. In the first place, the omelette with spices and the chicken curry is recommended, the kitchen team is also very good.

The cafe is situated in Alauenstrasse, the street which is famous of it idenpendent art works. Multi-culti flavour of the neighborhood is quite relaxing. The menue has a lot thing to offer from a rich substantial breakfast to classical dinner choices. We tried two...different pasta dishes one with chilli and one with gorgozola cheese and both me and my fiance were happy with our choices. Also need to mention the home-made lemonade drinks, for example, raspberry and tymian lemonade an outstanding mix, very delicious.

"Quite disappointed. The prices and past reviews made me believe this was going to be a fine dining experience to remember. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Atmosphere upon entry was awkward, with several waiters and waitresses (including the apparant hostess) passing us by multiple times before we were greeted and seated. After waiting 20 minutes to order our entry drinks we ordered a 4 course surprise menu containing meat and fish respectively, including a wine pairing menu. We were quite curious to see what variety of meats and fish choices the kitchen would come up with in their simplest of surprise menu's. Imagine our surprise when the first course was vegetarian! Don't get me wrong, I definitely enjoy vegetarian meals, but thats everything we didnt order.. The second course, a clear beef soup, was very standard and boring. And I must admit the main course iberico ham with a good pairing red wine was ok. My partners fish main course (the only one of 3, after ordering for a 3 course fish surprise menu) wasnt interesting at all, and had a weird wine choice. Sadly the last course was again mediocre as the full sweet dessert wine overruled the sort of sweet dessert. After the second course the staff stopped asking how the food was, as if they knew it wasnt up to Gault Millau standards. Ordering drinks after dessert was only possible by walking up to the bar ourselves, so no thanks. Even the bill we had to go fetch ourselves at the bar. Even here the staff didnt even dare ask how everything was and if we enjoyed our dinner. All in all: a lot of potential but overall disappointing. Would not recommend"
