Just visited the newly renovated restaurant and was really disappointed, prices had gone up massively.

The burger was poorly put together and slathered in BBQ sauce. Honestly, I would have preferred a McDonald's instead.

The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, but the prices are quite steep for London. The food was good, but we felt rushed as we had to leave our table by 9 o'clock.

I had a delightful experience at this restaurant. The food was well-seasoned and consistently served hot. The staff provided excellent service throughout my visit. There’s often some form of entertainment, like a talented magician, DJ, or musician, which adds to the excitement of Saturday nights. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere, this is definitely the spot for you. However, if you prefer a quieter, more intimate dinner, the music might be a bit too loud for your liking. When we received the bill, I realized I had already paid a reservation fee, which meant I owed about £20 less than my friend. We calculated our portions, and after my friend paid, the waiter asked me how much I would contribute. I mentioned I thought it was around £6, as I didn't fully recall the split, but I intended to cover my share. It turned out to be £7, and the waiter made fun of me for not giving the exact amount he expected. It felt a bit rude, but I let it go. However, what struck us immediately was that the ambience seemed more like a nightclub than a restaurant. The authentic Turkish vibe we were hoping for was noticeably missing, apart from a few genuine dishes on the menu and the Efes beer behind the bar. It felt more like a nightclub that served food. I've come to realize that Efsane is clearly appealing to a very different crowd than other local eateries.
