Eichmühle - Menú

We've been to the restaurant many times and it has never failed our expectation. Very delicious good, carefully prepared and beautifully presented. Very attentive service. In the summer the guests can sit in the garden outside that is like a wonder land. All in all, a very worth-to-come place.

We dined here with friends who live nearby, at the end of our vacation in Switzerland. The restaurant offers a very nice seafood & crustaceans tasting menu (5 courses) which we all enjoyed. The wine list has a nice range of options, so we were able to find wines for all of our taste preferences.

The best time to visit this restaurant is during lunch time when you can enjoy the meal under the big trees enjoying the garden. There are no pigeons or any other annoying birds around. The food is delicious and I would recommend any of the menus, they also have a very good vegetarian menu, which I tried this time. Leave also some space for deserts, as it is ever so delicious.

In respect of the highly ranked cuisine, which offers a unique culinary experience, the overpriced sparkling water should not stem (or at least not visible for the guests) from a Sodastream Bubble machine. The still water comes also from the tap unfortunately not the beer which is only available in small bottles. Moreover, the waiters service level do not match what you could expect from Michelin Stars.

It is a great restaurant with very good food and atmosphere. Not exactly the kind of restaurant to bring your kid, but they did try their very best to keep our 5-year-old happy. The garden is beautiful and great for the summer, but it gets too cold to go out in winter. Not many seats available indoor in winter, so make sure you reserve in advance.The fish 5-course menu and their desserts never disappoint us. I will go back there whenever there is a reason to.

Good food but not sure if I can justify the price.Smoked sturgeon -two fingers sized pieces-with a tea spoon of caviar 38Fr...you go and figure the rest.Loved the location. We were inside with wood everywhere.Winter garden is completely different modern and minimalistic.Service was ok but nothing espectacular. I think my friends were happy with their meat choices but they were not wowed by them, again money talks.With those prices you'd better deliver something amazing!

Eder's Eichmühle has the perfect location in the countryside a bit off Wädenswil. Their garden is wild and still very well maintained.We went for the menu and were happy about the food. The first course was very nicely presented and tasted amazing (sashimi, prawn). The second dish was tempura fried Dover sole on a cucumber carpaccio - simple and nothing really exciting. The main dish, Swiss lamb from the alps, was too heavy for me - a huge portion of meat!The Cuban chocolate dessert on an apricot sauce was to die for!

We (two couples) spontaneously decided to have dinner at Eder's Eichmühle on a rainy Saturday. A table was reserved for us in the "Stübli", being in the traditional part of the old tavern. There is a modern conservatory, too, which has nice views on the lake of Zurich, weather permitting .... Service was friendly, maybe a little demure at the beginning, which was absolutely okay with us. Great wine card to choose from. Eders, father and son seem to take pride in only using fresh and regional products which was reflected on most part of the menu card. We decided to try this restaurant for a special occasion and were positively surprised.The location is quite out of town and there is no possibility to get there with public transport. For the next time I might ask a taxi to bring me there, as when you go by your own car, you cannot enjoy the large and nice wine selection.We decided to get the 5 course seafood & crustaceans tasting menu. I love seafood but asked to change the last course to a meat dish, as I also wanted to try something more on the menu. The course was great and we loved every single dish of it.
