"We came here for evening meal on route to the North Yorkshire Railway Light Fantastic tour. Car parking was easy with a large carpark although bear in mind our satnav said the pub was up a no through road; in fact the pub was a little further along on the right. There is a wealth of outdoor seating available some of it sheltered should the weather be quite bad. Inside the pub is aesthetically very pleasing on the eye with a decent bar area, pool table off to the left; a large restaurant style seating area is off to the right. The staff were very welcoming showing us straight to our table, taking a drinks order and providing menus. We realised we hadn’t really left enough time to eat and make the railway tour; totally our fault. The wife had a quick word with the staff who put our food on a rush which was amazing of them. Sure enough food was served very quickly and we made the railway tour. The food itself was excellent quality, very tasty and decent portion sizes. The menu was varied and categorised nicely allowing for quick browsing. There were 2 options for vegetarians and a specials board as well. Free Wi-Fi was available with a password displayed at the bar. There is also a comfy sofa seating area just to the right of the bar. The pub is dog friendly which is a big plus for us. Based on this experience I would totally recommend a visit to this pub; I look forward to returning to try some of the other menu options. Food drinks: Great food"

"This is my favourite place to eat in Malton, I a friend regularly have takeaway drinks lunches, mainly either, soup, sandwiches, wraps, paninis or salads. All are freshly made delicious very reasonably priced. Malton has a wide variety of cafes coffee shopsto chose from but the stand out feature that draws us back to the Patisserie is not only high quality food but the friendly, efficient staff who always make us feel so welcome. Although less often, we occaisionally sit in in the cafe which provides the same first class service products. There is also a well stocked shop with a wide variety of lovely biscuits, cakes, preserves drinks which can be made into hampers. The delights of this little Malton gem are too numerous to mention."

"We had a fantastic time during our visit to this restaurant today. The staff was extremely diligent, quick to serve customers, and also took the time to be friendly with everyone. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really enjoyable and it appears to be a popular favorite among many. The attention to detail in the dining area was very impressive. The menu offered a variety of options and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience."

"The staff at the restaurant were welcoming and friendly. However, the prices of the food and drinks were quite high considering the quality was not exceptional. The breakfast was enjoyable, but there were some issues with the room. There was an unpleasant smell of fish coming from the kitchen area because of a hole behind the toilet. Additionally, the wardrobe was dusty and filled with cobwebs, which was not very appealing."

"My wife Caroline and I eat at the New Malton regularly. Often whilst we are there, with reluctance staff have to turn those wishing to dine, away. It is that good!Book in advance and you will not be disappointed. A good range of food, nice wines and other drinks at reasonable prices but above all a genuine smile, happy greeting and five star service from Gemma and her staff.I add, I do not know Gemma or anyone from the New Malton socially. This revue is genuine, based solely on our eating experiences."
