"I have made repeated visits to Extrablatt since I first discovered it! They cook one of the best steaks you will eat, exactly how you like it, aswell as some beautiful fish, veggie and German style meat dishes. Extrablatt means extra sheet, or extra page,...and their menu always this Extrablatt inside with their extra menu of the moment. For example, in asparagus season, it will have various asparagus dishes. I've never been disappointed. The food, the wine, and of course, the people themselves! They are so welcoming, they speak english (bonus and they make you want to return again and again!"

Good German food, the owner spoke good English and helped us with the menu. The steaks were really very good. Vibe is a pub/restaurant. It is better value than eating in Basel. It is just minute walk from the Tram Stop

Really good steak here, the menu is nice and simple and I always eat the same thing: Rinderhufte with krauterbutter and pommes, can´t beat it! The owner is also lovely and her English is perfect which is good for us : The streudel is lovely for desert too. Highly recommend.

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend and is now my favourite. This is my benchmark for a good steak and rosti and hasn't been beaten yet. The service is good and friendly. They serve seasonal food from local ingredients. It is very reasonably...priced and a nice atmosphere.

Nice friendly welcome by all staff. Had a drink at the bar before deciding to eat. The steaks were of a good quality along with a nice rosti and spatzle. Also the peppercorn sauce was nicely made and not gloopy like in many places. Would happily visit again, the next time we are in Weil am Rhein.

I am very glad to come time by time to this restaurant for dinner! The menu is quite short but it offers the best quality/ price ratio in Weil! You can eat a good steak/ schnitzel at a reasonable price, served with roesti or spatzle. The apfel strudel dessert needs also to be mentioned! RECCOMENDED

We visit Basle nearly every year and if possible cross the border into Germany to eat at Extrablatt. It’s a family run restaurant and we are welcomed as old friends even though a once a year visit doesn’t make us regulars. On this occasion everyone else seemed to be local , this made no difference and we enjoyed a delicious meal ,with good service .

"Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The decor and interior is classy retro French with high ceilings, arches, classic chandeliers, large windows and round tables with candles. Ambience is warm and intimate. Service was top notch and impeccable. Staff were all knowledgeable with refreshing attention to details. Cuisine was modern french with Mediterranean influences, flavors were complex and dynamic. Ingredients were chosen carefully and courses were presented beautifully. I liked all of my courses, highlights of the menu were the Sardine Macaron, Langoustine curry, Red Mullet filet and the French saddle of lamb with mediterranean flavors. Wine pairing was excellent and enhanced every course taste and flavor. Sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable yet intimidating a bit. The French Cheese selections from Maître Antony in Ferrette was aromatic, rich and satisfying, Maître Antony is one of the best in the world that many Michelin starred Chefs get their fine cheeses selection from. The night ended well with a couple of delightful desserts courses, few delectable bites and some velvety chocolate. Overall, we had an elevated fine dining experience that will bring me back if in Basel again."
