"This restaurant is located on the next to the last stop on the 8 Tram from Basel going to Weil am Rhein. Our server, Aziz, spoke enough English to be very helpful in our selection. First, let me say that all the food looked good...and I do not believe you will go wrong here. There are different types of meat including lamb, beef, chicken and fish. There are gyros and pizza also. My wife and I both had the mixed plate which included a lamb chop, a beef kabob, lamb kabob and chicken kabob. There was the traditional pita bread and Turkish and white rice on the platter as well. There was also a large grilled pepper and shredded lettuce and tomatoes on the plate. The portions were more than enough. We had a beer and a Sprite on our order as well as a plate of chili sauce for our pita bread that we ate before our meal arrived. Our total bill was 42 Euros. We are staying in Basel and I am told that in Basel only one person could have eaten for this cost. It is much cheaper to eat in Germany and France. The meat is very well seasoned and very good. The restaurant was crowded tonight as it was Christmas Day. Aziz was very friendly and helpful. He got us in despite the fact we did not have a reservation. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be going back again. Please view the photos I have posted."

this was a fantastic alternative to tadim grill house, but in the last 6 months the standards have drastically declined. false orders are delivered (and then they insist that it was what I ordered) and yesterday they ran out of yogurt sauce (i.e. eating tasted extremely dry) and their fresh Ayran drink was replaced by the prefabricated product in kartons.

Not a first time we with my husband was there. Food is really good and delicious. Pide on top level and lamb is juicy and fresh. Dessert we ready to eat with fingers-such delicious it is!!!! Will definitely come back again and again and recommend...to everybody. A lots of Local Turkish going there, so atmosphere very comfortable and domestic. From minuses- bad toilet, not possible to pay with card(only cash)

"Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The decor and interior is classy retro French with high ceilings, arches, classic chandeliers, large windows and round tables with candles. Ambience is warm and intimate. Service was top notch and impeccable. Staff were all knowledgeable with refreshing attention to details. Cuisine was modern french with Mediterranean influences, flavors were complex and dynamic. Ingredients were chosen carefully and courses were presented beautifully. I liked all of my courses, highlights of the menu were the Sardine Macaron, Langoustine curry, Red Mullet filet and the French saddle of lamb with mediterranean flavors. Wine pairing was excellent and enhanced every course taste and flavor. Sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable yet intimidating a bit. The French Cheese selections from Maître Antony in Ferrette was aromatic, rich and satisfying, Maître Antony is one of the best in the world that many Michelin starred Chefs get their fine cheeses selection from. The night ended well with a couple of delightful desserts courses, few delectable bites and some velvety chocolate. Overall, we had an elevated fine dining experience that will bring me back if in Basel again."
