"After a long trip on holiday we really have to go to the commercially offered Smoortaal or what else is offered here in the middle of the Sae. 5 stars for food, but 1 star trigger because we didn't get our reserved table. The reason that tables cannot be promised did not match the still free tables that were promised. 1 star trigger for operation. We felt ignored. Ver carta

We came as a family and had a nice traditional set of German dinners Food quality was good. Service was exceptionally slow, we waited a very long time for everything at all levels. It didn't spoil the night as we arrived... in plenty of time and unhurried but certainly something to consider. We sat outside on the patio in the garden.

The cuisine was German, of course, but there was something for everyone. It's in an old thatched building and interior décor is old fashioned. The dining room is filled with antiques and the wait staff wears regional costumes. Ver carta

This is a small restaurant in a fantastic location right on the lake of Zwischenahn. It has a wonderful terrace, but the interior of the restaurant is also nice, very traditional and cosy. The menu is relatively small but everything is delicious for a... traditional restaurant It delivers great value for the price. The wine list is typical for the north of Germany so very limited choice so go for a great beer, I can only recommend the Jever beer fantastic! The service is great and very friendly. Overall value and a fantastic location (you can also reach by boat from Bad Zwischenahn).
