Very nice Rat-a-chewy! Won't go here again too soon, in fact never. Toilets were not very clean and I found staff were rood. Nice rat-a-chewy though.

Absolute joke. Pre-ordered 4 hours before delivery date and already over an hour late with no contact. First time time ordering from here and will definitely be the last. Safe to say will never be using Family House again. Birthday ruined thanks!!

I wouldnt go anywhere else, food is great and so are the staff. A family run business who get very busy with takeaways so sometimes you have to be patient and wait, which I know offends a lot of people that is the English attitude. But we love it and we are looking forward to another great meal tonight just in case we go into lockdown next week

Ordered online yesterday at 5:30pm and was given a delivery time of 6:30.....food didn’t arrive until 10:00pm, after we’d ordered pizza! Tried several times during the wait to call the Family House but couldn’t get through. Once food had been sent back I did manage to get through and speak to the manager who was very apologetic and promised to give me a priority delivery the next night at 7:30pm.....it’s now 8:10 and food hasn’t arrived yet! Won’t be using this place again!!!

Ordered online at 8pm which we were given a 50 minute wait for delivery. And 1hr and half passes so I decide to drive up and check it’s open. I was told it was Next to be cooked and I could collect in 30 mins... Then straight away my wife received a call to say it was ready... Then after all the confusion I collected my order which I was charged for already.. To then get home and realise that 2 x mix platters were missing from our order and our food was cold. We tried to ring them back to inform them of the missing order but no one would answer a call.

Thank you Family House. The take-away you brought to our house including the Stuffed Sliced Duck In Crabmeat Sauce, King prawn chow mein Family house platter for 2 was marvelous. Some of the detractors on this website who make negative remarks should realise we live in difficult times, and you are the only chinese take away serving the people of Totton while all the other chinese restaurants take-aways have closed in the immediate area. This Family run restaurant is always friendly and the food is very good. People should realise that these take-away services are invaluable while people self-isolate. We turned up at the restaurant to order a takeaway but given the lockdown there was a note on the door to say order online or by phone for collection or delivery. We went back to the car but both online sites said it was closed. I called the number and it was answered straight away by a friendly and polite girl, who told us our food would be ready in 10-15 mins. We went back in after about 20 and the food was all ready. Went here a few years ago and really enjoyed it so we decided to have a takeaway. Firstly, staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful and I can't fault them at all. Restaurant was also OK, a bit tired in decor but clean and welcoming. The food was really expensive though and when we got home we found the portion sizes were mean and the take away tubs were only half filled. The ribs were burnt, they actually tasted like they had been cooked in the deep fat fryer for ages were overly brittle. Me and my mum visited this place on a monday when the eat out to help out was going on. And all i can say it was a waste of money. Firstly they have put the price for there buffet up. It has never been over £20pp mon-thu. I would understand if it was a weekend. Second they've changed the buffet, so half the stuff that was on it before isn't anymore. There is no social distance in place. They sit everyone next to one another.
