"Took my mum for an impromptu dinner on pie night and it was amazing. The staff were friendly and polite and even though there was a large birthday party in, they found us a table very quickly and even took our drinks to it before...fetching us to sit down. We had the minted lamb pie which was amazing, soft lamb in crumbly pasty with superb chips! We were checked on by staff a few times and each and every one was sincere and helpful. Wish we had room for cheesecake because, as I'd had it before, I know that it's amazing. A lovely pub with amazing food and fabulous staff."

"Wow! Both had the tapas. Full of flavour and beautifully presented. Lemon tart with sorbet was delicious. Staff were lovely and friendly with great service. "We visited here after it being recommended by friends and family, they said to go on a Sunday and try the buffet. We visited today and we were very disappointed, the car park is far too small and everyone parked terribly so had to park on a nearby street (which is no fault of the restaurant) We then went inside and were pointed in the direction of a table where we would be seated. The waiter asked if we were having the buffet or normal menu. We said buffet, we then helped our self to the food which there was a poor choice of, we both had chicken pakoras and onion bhajis, poppadom and pickle tray to start, they were all very dry as if they had been out all day! We went back and had some of the bhuna curry which was nice but only one choice of rice and plain naan. After we had finished our meal we went to pay the bill, and were asked if we had had a Long Island iced tea we had not we had 2 x Pepsis, he then proceeded to charge us for the Long Island and pint of beer that we had not had, we only knew this as we asked for the bill after. They refunded the difference but with no real apology. Overall would not recommended at all Katmandont!"

"Wow, I'm reading these negative reviews in shock because my experience the twice I've been couldn't be more different. The staff from the moment we stepped in were very attentive and friendly, they couldn't do better. Drinks and food arrived in very good time compared to many places. The food itself is fabulous, everything me or my companions have had has been 1st class, for starters the soup is excellent, tasty and thick not the watery garbage I see elsewhere. But the scallops, deep fried brie and prawn crayfish cocktail all got a hearty thumbs up. The main event of course is the steaks, well the sirloin, fillet and t-bone have been fabulous, best I've had anywhere around here. Sides are equally good, the large cut chips, sweet potato fries, and rosemary herb potatoes are all excellent. I'm afraid I can't comment on deserts, we've never had room for one. All in all I couldn't fault the entire experience!"
