"I was so disappointed with the food tonight! We have been to this restaurant 3/4 times before and always loved the food, service, and atmosphere. Tonight, we decided to have an early fish & chips supper with the children at 5pm after visiting the fair. It was nice to watch the world rugby in the background, but the fish was small with a strange, thick batter and the chips were scarce and overly peppery. There was only a small portion of mushy peas. I really hope the quality improves because if not, we will not be coming back."

I requested service, but the staff member rudely told me he would serve me when he's free. With a disrespectful attitude and tone, I decided to leave due to their awful behavior. Ver carta

the food was surprisingly incredible. everything tasted great. i tried the fish and chips along with the sticky toffee pudding and i completely recommend it all. the staff was very friendly and the service was quick! a great food spot!

Horrendous service where staff couldn’t care less awful fish and chips we were given scraps of chips with gravy that tasted horrible. you’d be better off queueing at the front for some decent fish and chips. £37 wasted won’t ever return

My wife and visited on a weekday lunchtime. It wasn 't very busy and we ordered fish and chips, a pint and a glass of wine. The chips were 'proper chips ', the fish was crispy and tasty and the mushy peas were delicious. Great value and great service. So if you 're ever on Barry island give this place a visit. Ver carta

I adore Finnegans Bar. I come here once or twice a week to enjoy their great meals and good music and I can work on my Art with a nice Beer. Their lunchtime meal deals are very affordable and the food is excellent. Above all else, the staff are brilliant too. I recommend this bar to anyone who is visiting Barry Island.

Was having a good time then I went to the bar made me wait while she served two regulars before me although I was at the bar first very clickey and was moaning about another bar very unprofessional made me feel uncomfortable we left and took our glasses to the bar the blonde lady didn't even say thanks just glared if your homophobic that's fine just keep it to yourself no need to treat us differently that's the regulars and Blonde Lady.
