I ordered from this restaurant using Uber Eats last week. I ordered chicken and chips. Oh my goodness, the chicken was terrible. It tasted like mackerel fish and had clearly been fried in oil used for fish multiple times. It was very greasy and dripping with oil. Despite being hungry, I could only manage to eat the chips because the chicken was so bad. I ended up having to throw it away.

Had many a meal from this store, but latest home delivery was a bit of a mixture, and not such a cheap one. Half roast chicken was very nice with plenty of meat, albeit a bit oily. But the chips were awful. Certainly not 'golden ' in fact so anemic they looked barely cooked and almost all of it went in the bin. Know this place can do better, but with the cost of everything now days, can 't afford to be throwing food away.

Overall the food was nice. But I ordered online. Drive to collect. Drove home and the chips were missing. So by the time I drove back and home again my fish and prawns were cold. When I collected not so much a sorry. Was hard to even get someone’s attention. A portion of chips was basically thrown in a box and then at me without even asking is I wanted salt/vinegar and when I mentioned it he made it clear he was being inconvenienced. Ver carta

I was extremely disappointed with my meal at this restaurant. The chips were covered in dirty, gritty skin and there were black, rotten pieces of potato mixed in. The sausage was supposed to be in batter, but the batter was so thin and overcooked that it might as well have been a plain sausage. The prices at this place are high, so the poor quality of the food was especially disappointing. I would give this restaurant no stars if that were an option.

Most people on here giving low star reviews wouldn't recognise a good fish supper if it jumped up and bit them on the backside. The same goes for the old duffer talking smack about the restaurant on GB News. Ignore the haters. 10/10 top class restaurant. We were disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The woman behind the counter was rude to my husband, making him wait for 10 minutes in an empty shop before acknowledging him. When he finally approached the counter for service, she just barked at him instead of apologizing for the wait. He ended up waiting almost 25 minutes for a small bag of chips that were overpriced at £5.40 and were dry and tasteless. It seemed like the business prioritized online orders over in-person customers, resulting in slow and impolite service for walk-ins.
