"This was our first visit to the Fitzherbert Arms and we went with a group of friends on a chilly Tuesday night. They don 't accept bookings and we initially struggled to find an empty table for 6 but eventually managed to put one together, it is obviously popular with locals. Inside it 's a lovely cosy old pub (helped by the open fire) with quirky decor and mismatched furniture, you immediately feel at home. To start we had 2 sharing plates and there was more than enough for our party. All of the main courses appeared genuinely home made and we could not fault them, especially the 'legendary ' steak pie which really was memorable. There was a good choice of cask beers and a decent range of moderately priced wines. Somewhere to return to but it is a bit out of the way for us."

This was our second visit with our friends who live locally. The first visit was lovely so we thought we would go for Sunday lunch. The food arrived promptly and with sizeable potions, the only improvement was the plates weren’t warm so the food got cold quickly but the food was tasty

The food at this restaurant is delicious, but there was no heating on when we visited and the place seemed a bit run down. The price per person is around £20-30. The food was rated a 4, as well as the service and atmosphere. Recommended dishes include the Steak and Ale Pie. Finding parking can be somewhat difficult, but there is a free parking lot available. Have eaten here and love to call for a drink Sunday afternoon. I find the menu rather solid English food and would like lighter options but that is merely my opinion. The food is great and love the ambience. 25 Nov 23 OMG no heating, freezing cold. Problems with the food, late service. I could go on, however we had our own great company which was in the favour of the establishment as the overall dining experience was pretty poor. Should be better!!!! Price per person: £70–80 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Pudding, Fish, Roast

The English Pub has a car park that can accommodate approximately 30 cars, however, during our visit, at least 5 cars were parked in a very inconsiderate manner, forcing us to park on the road about a hundred yards away. Despite this inconvenience, the pub itself, its staff, decor, and food were all excellent. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20. The food received a rating of 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4 as well. Recommended dishes include the Steak and Ale Pie, Pudding, and Fish. Finding parking can be somewhat difficult, but there are options for both free parking in the lot and free street parking nearby.

"We arrived at Mojo's restaurant just after 11 pm on Saturday 7th October after a really good night around the town. On our arrival we asked it they were still open and still serving food. They said yes, greeted us with open arms and sat us down and at first came across as extremely friendly. However, at around 12 midnight the vacuum cleaners came out and we were approached by a member of staff who very rudely asked us to hurry up and leave as they wanted to close. I ignored his first request as I thought he was joking around but a few minutes later he returned to our table clapping his hands loudly and demanding that we left. I pulled him to one side to have a polite word about his attitude and I explained to him that he shouldn't have allowed us to enter if we only had 30 minutes to eat our meal. Another member of staff, who I assumed at the time was the manger, then approached and explained that they were closing. When I asked him why we had been allowed to enter just before closing time, he was unable to give me an answer. I got nowhere trying to reason with them so I just paid the full price for our meals and we were forced to leave with no apology and no explanation. The only good thing I have to say is that the food was delicious but we would have enjoyed it more if we had been allowed to finish. We ended up leaving half of our meals on the table along with our drinks. Not happy at all with the poor attitude of the staff. We will not be returning and I will be just as quick to tell everybody about our bad experience at Mojo's as they were throwing us out. VERY POOR."
