The restaurant had excellent food and a great atmosphere. It did take some time for the food to arrive, but it was delicious when it did. The price per person was £10-20. On a scale of 1 to 5, the food was rated 5, the service was rated 4, and the atmosphere was rated 5.

This was our second visit with our friends who live locally. The first visit was lovely so we thought we would go for Sunday lunch. The food arrived promptly and with sizeable potions, the only improvement was the plates weren’t warm so the food got cold quickly but the food was tasty

Have eaten here and love to call for a drink Sunday afternoon. I find the menu rather solid English food and would like lighter options but that is merely my opinion. The food is great and love the ambience. 25 Nov 23 OMG no heating, freezing cold. Problems with the food, late service. I could go on, however we had our own great company which was in the favour of the establishment as the overall dining experience was pretty poor. Should be better!!!! The English Pub has a car park that can accommodate approximately 30 cars, however, during our visit, at least 5 cars were parked in a very inconsiderate manner, forcing us to park on the road about a hundred yards away. Despite this inconvenience, the pub itself, its staff, decor, and food were all excellent. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20. The food received a rating of 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4 as well. Recommended dishes include the Steak and Ale Pie, Pudding, and Fish. Finding parking can be somewhat difficult, but there are options for both free parking in the lot and free street parking nearby.

This was our first visit to the Fitzherbert Arms and we went with a group of friends on a chilly Tuesday night. They don 't accept bookings and we initially struggled to find an empty table for 6 but eventually managed to put one together, it is obviously popular with locals. Inside it 's a lovely cosy old pub (helped by the open fire) with quirky decor and mismatched furniture, you immediately feel at home. To start we had 2 sharing plates and there was more than enough for our party. All of the main courses appeared genuinely home made and we could not fault them, especially the 'legendary ' steak pie which really was memorable.
