"After dog walk on the beach we went to the Flags Cafe (easily spot able because of the fluttering flags! The menu was good but I opted for the all day breakfast which was reasonably priced.When the food came it was well presented and the quality of the ingredients was far superior to any cafe I have been to before. Excellent sausages and bacon especially.Then had a vanilla ice cream again expecting usual cafe ice cream ..but no absolutely delicious ice cream. On top of that the staff were excellent.Definitely a reason to take the dog back to Holland on sea for a walk."

The menu at Flags is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family. It has become our special place.

Freshly prepared food, gorgeous homemade cakes and freshly brewed coffee, perfect. Great choices even for the vegans , great prices, friendly and great banter. Always made to feel welcome, both us and the dogs.

excellent fully cooked vegan breakfast and drinks. my daughter even had a diary-free milkshake with whipped cream. very impressed by passionate and super helpful owners! a lot of choice for dinner too, so we will surely be back!

Whenever I visit Holland-on-Sea beach, I always make sure to stop by Flags Cafe. The food is incredible and always fresh. The service from the entire staff is exceptional, even when they are busy. I highly recommend this place. xx

After a nice walk along the beach towards Frinton, we returned to Flags for a welcome lunch, as they say the cafe is not fast food as everything is freshly prepared. Portions were generous, very good value and delicious. Staff were fabulous, would highly recommend and will definitely go back again.

the owner of this place (lesley) is fantastic super friendly and explains their approach to the vegan options like the mushrooms and the maic as, “You can also make it vegan, the other customers don’t notice” damn right! so a good approach! the burgers and chips we had were great and they even had vegan mayo and vegan cheese! such a pleasant surprise! the location on happy cow is wrong, although this location on the beach is between Holland-on-Sea and clacton. good worth looking for outside, great sea view

we visit flags caffe on a regular basis and have always found that it welcoming and best of all dog friendly. eating is beautiful and fresh and cooked when ordered. the cakes are all homemade and delicious. the owner, lesley is such a sweet dame we have a retaliatory dog that has feared of men and bells with everyone. He's never barked at lesley, she's the only person he never cracked on. Of course he knows that they pup cake and sausages for all fur babys who visit. an excellent place to visit on a day at holland am sea
