Flooks Cafe - Carta

Had a soya coffee and a gorgeous cheesecake this week in this quirky cafe. Staff were delightful and everything clean and interesting.

Had afternoon tea here and was very impressed with the choices available and everything homemade. Staff are friendly and owner was lovely. Would recommend trying this lovely tearoom.. you won't be disappointed.

The cakes in this place are all home made with love. The service is polite and friendly. I can't recommend it more highly. We popped in on a Friday afternoon and spent four hours here. They stayed open for an hour past closing time and looked after us throughout. Ver carta

Lovely atmosphere within the cafe, customer service was brilliant, both young male and female were really happy and cheerful! Food exceeded expectations and will most certainly be coming here more often! Gutted there weren't any computer facility's but nothing major!

The choices available were quite extensive for the price. There were sandwiches, savoury and sweet offerings. The only thing was we only had 1 drink each and weren't sure if there was more within the price or not. However, the room available was done lovely and we all enjoyed our good choices.

Had small afternoon tea with daughters close friends and family, table setting lovely , good selection of sandwich to suit all, tea and coffee bottomless, cake to follow was first class ,made on premises no shop bought stuff all fresh and fab, service was excellent and smiley, just how I like it . Booked in today for afternoon tea. You get to chose 3 savoury dishes and 3 desserts lots of choice including spring rolls, prawn cocktail, corned beef pie, lots of varieties of sandwiches. Big portions of everything and good quality food, homemade. Also offered choice of cold drinks instead of tea. Friendly and helpful staff. Carpark to the side of the property. Also great price for the quality food you get. Will be visiting again.

Cheap enough at £10.50 for 5 savoury portions 1 dessert but it 's only a 'tea '. Not too comfortable for large party of 10 people. Unclear as to who was supposed to eat what even with a list. I think i probably didn 't get my 'just desserts ' : . Have been for few such 'high teas ' now but i think it 's not really for me. Compared to other no places this was no better or poorer. Would have been better if we 'd each had our teas on our own plate stands. Plenty of tea coffee brought.

I am not sure if my efforts got this café listed, I sent at least three requests that it be listed but have never received a reply. It was only because I was looking for something else that I thought I would try again and now at last it's here. Gripe over.Although we live in Cardiff we do travel to Merthyr quite a bit and were intrigued when we saw this ex jewellers converted into a café. The food on offer is your usual café fare but of very high quality. My wife and I only went in for a sandwich but I ended up having a really nice piece of homemade bread pudding, this is a real favourite of mine and did not disappoint.The concept is also very worthy being run by Llamau charity helping young...
