is a very pleasant location, cozy clean and quiet, away from traffic. the kitchen draws from the territory and the dishes are abundant and well presented. the service is punctual, attentive and courteous. we ate some excellent tunaed calf is a delicious braised at Barbera. There is also a large fixed price menu for those who want to taste a variety of local dishes. Good house desserts and just price. We promised to return.

We dined at this restaurant with some friends. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The food was well prepared and nicley arranged on the plate and of very good quality. The wine list was adequate and reasonably priced. I think the food was a bit expensive but still a good value for money. The one minus for me ,dining on the veranda , was the noise level. It was crowded and difficult to speak normally. You might want to practice you knowledge of italian a bit before trying this out, but could also be fun without it as the staff would be quite helpful. This restaurant is surely worth a try.

The othe evening I had the privilege to take dinner at Fontanabuona as I have a b&b in the close vicinity I often send guests and receive outstanding reviews of their experience. I certainly was not disappointed unfortunately I am a little difficult as I do suffer from a bad gluten intolerance but I had plenty of choices and was impressed to note that the Italian sweet menu listed gluten free. The setting is beautiful, the decoration very tasteful , the staff courteous and attentive. Great detail was given to all plates served and all were delicious especially the sauce on the guinea foul which was divine.. there was also a good varied wine list of local quality wines.. we chose the Nobbio B...
