Great place to eat, very friendly staff, excellent and copious food (set menu), made very welcome and not rushed at all. Will definitely revisit!

As always lovely food and lovely people 10 of us went for a meal we were well looked after and everyone enjoyed there food we have been a few times and it’s always good must be the best Chinese restaurant in lancaster well done guys and thanks

I absolutely love this place, the staff are awesome and the owner is so lovely. My favourite is the salt and pepper crispy beef. I can't get enough of it. I wouldn't get chips from there as I prefer thinner cut. But there's a few dishes I keep going back to.

Tasty Chinese food and really good and super-friendly service. Delicious salt pepper spare ribs, steaming hot won ton soup and prawns with chilli and black bean sauce. Just what was needed on a cold, damp night. Very generous portions and excellent value for money. Will definitely return next time I’m in Lancaster.

beautiful restaurant and a great service. we had a nice meal, very fresh and tasty. the staff are great and have a lot of time for everyone. it's pretty small so they might have to book. they sat for a late tee, and we wanted to recover from other places, but that was so nice that we were going right here next time!

What can I say! Been coming to Fortune Star for over 15 years now.. Julia and Philip are Amazing great hosts and beautiful food everytime. We travel 6 hours to Lancaster 3/4 times a year and always stop for our Chinese meal. Nothing is too much for Julia the perfect host and always smiling. My kids love going cannot Recommend Highly enough you won’t be disappointed.

Seemed a tad expensive compared to Our local Chinese’s but once served it was clear the portion size and amount of meat was very good. It’s been here a very long time and I think decor remains unchanged. The food is good if not great but the lady who served us was very friendly and really made us feel welcome. She made it more pleasant with her attentive service and lovely smile

here with a big party of 12 with 2 children. we all had the buffet deal and we were not disappointed. the amount of food was more than enough and between us all we couldn't finish it! at the end there was the beautiful lady who owns the place, the little one goodie bag with drinks and snacks that the meal was their favorite thing they were! the staff was super polite and we had a great time.

From our last visit something has gone terribly wrong. Seems as though they have lost interest in the place. The food was diabolical and the ambience nil. Quite frankly the decor and furniture are in dire need of refurb. It always was a no frills restaurant but the food was superb so you could overlook the rest. However, our visit in August was the worst ever. Julia was not herself, food awful, curry sauce terrible, meat in curry seemed to be pre -cooked and tough. Different chef maybe. Totally different to our last visit in May and many previous. Disappointed to the core. Have learned it is on market so this may explain they have given up.
