"We had a fantastic dining experience here on Friday for our first wedding anniversary. The front-of-house staff were incredibly attentive, and we received such a warm welcome even before trying the food! The dishes were absolutely delicious, and we truly enjoyed every bite, especially as food enthusiasts who feel quite spoiled living in Brighton. This place is a real gem that we discovered during our stay in Cornwall. We will certainly return on our next visit and will recommend it to our family and friends when they come to Cornwall. "The restaurant was quite a disappointment. Saturday evening dinner with poor rushed food. While the first course of St Austell mussels was ok (hard to get wrong with such good ingredients) it lacked any sauce and the bread was dry and obviously had been cut too early. The mains were served as the starter plates were removed and looked like they had been on the pass for 10 minutes. The sea bream was over cooked and the salad potatoes undercooked. Only the tempura scallops were well cooked. The fishcake was burned at the bottom and the fries (advertised as chips) were served with ketchup in a plastic bowl. The wine was dumped on the table unopened, with glasses straight out of the dishwasher and wet. The staff were inattentive and not really interested in the guests. We left and had our dessert in the pub across the road and felt 100% more welcome there than at this place. Not a good experience and we won’t be returning."

"Honestly the best food I’d ever tasted. If I was on death row this would be in top contention for my last meal. the tuna melt??? DELECTABLE and the milkshakes were so so so incredible. To top it off whoever was on the music played some absolute nostalgia hitting bangers. The colour scheme of the inside was We’d been trekking the coastal path for 4 days and this was our final stop- can’t actually describe in words how lovely it was for this to be our final pit stop. also want to mention that the window cleaner across the road was utter entertainment (mans was obviously getting paid per hour I didn’t know it was possible to make a 5 minute job into a 2 hour long one but he made it possible ‍"

"This charming and welcoming traditional pub is located in a quaint village setting. With its real fireplace, it offers a cozy atmosphere all year round. Ideal for dining with families or enjoying a drink with your four-legged friends (on a leash). There are also covered seating areas outside, along with a few glamping pods located in the raised gardens. Overall, the food and service both received a rating of 4, while the atmosphere was rated a 5."
