Fox Goose - Menú

Absolutely wonderful Sunday lunch, melt in the mouth beef, vegetables cooked to perfection. Lovely staff, wonderful ambience, good value for money, would definitely recommend.

Whilst on holiday nearby we had 3 meals at the Fox and Goose and the food was excellent. The venison was the best I've ever eaten, large fillets and so tender. Very good menu and lovely, very friendly staff. We would most definitely eat there again.

Great find, my wife and I had a fantastic meal, both having the Hake. It was cooked to perfection, followed with the raspberry parfait. Very relaxed and freindly atmosphere and to top it off at a really reasonable price. Will defeintly return when back in Devon.

We had a great experience at this restaurant with a wonderful variety of homemade dishes. The fish and chips and burger and chips were both delicious and impeccably cooked. The staff were all amicable and accommodating. They welcomed our dog with open arms. We are excited to return again soon.

We stayed at the Fox and Goose for 3 nights The customer service was excellent .The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The meals were wonderfully prepared and presented . We had a fantastic stay over the long weekend and enjoyed every aspect of it. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished with lovely wooden furniture. The bathroom was modern and roomy. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfast was outstanding and we also dined at the restaurant for dinner both nights. The food was delicious and of excellent quality.

We visit, fairly regularly, from Somerset to enjoy their their warm hospitality and delicious variety of meals. Usually Sunday roasts or fish based meals. On this occasion we went for dinner and chose Venison. The meat was incredibly delicious and we all agreed about the flavour, texture and complimenting jus, with its balance of vegetables provided the best we’d eaten. Congratulations to the chef and staff for a fabulous evening. I strongly recommend you to enjoy dining here.

A weeks stay in the area and a recommended visit to this restaurant. It's well off the beaten track down a narrow winding road (like most in this area.. There is nothing pretentious about the place. Welcoming staff, basic tables and seating and a menu for all to stand and choose from on the board above an arch. So the food. Well cooked and presented, but to me nothing over special and if anything a tad over priced. Dog friendly and dog welcome at least 3 tables had dogs with them on our visit. Would I visit again? Likely.

The pub serves fabulous food that was so good we went twice during our holiday nearby. The staff, two lovely girls serving at the bar and delivering to tables, were really friendly and accommodating. We had an excellent salmon dish the first night, which was a generous portion with sauté potatoes and beautifully cooked vegetables. We thought it was great value for money given the quality. My husband had hake on the second visit and I had their beef burger, both dishes were well cooked and presented with generous portions.
