"If you want good German Bavarian food with monster sized portions and a warm atmosphere, this is the place for you! It’s not fancy, you’ll be fine wearing jeans, but you will love the food. We started with drinks. I ordered a pint of Lowenbreau...(5 euro) and a shot of locally made schnapps (only 2.50 euro) to start. The Mrs stuck to ginger ale. I my wife ordered the Wiener schnitzel(25 euro). They gladly substituted spaetzle for fried potatoes. It came with a salad tossed on a light vinaigrette. Everything was delicious! And the portions were huge! I got a sausage sampler platter with four different kinds of sausage, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes (16 euro). The sausage was great. And the mashed potatoes were probably the best I’ve ever tasted! Again the portion was so large I couldn’t finish. And I came hungry! Menus are in German with English subtitles. The three employees I interacted with all spoke passable English too! That much being said, this is a local restaurant, not a tourist trap. We were the only tourists in the place except for one Russian couple."
