"Please do not eat at this restaurant. We only selected it because of the ratings and wanted a good Italian. My payment was not going through, it said the restaurant was unresponsive. So I called the restaurant to ask what to do. He asked me to order over the phone and pay cash. So I did this and went to pick it up. About ten minutes later, I got an email saying the restaurant had accepted my online order and had now taken my payment of 40 pounds out of my bank. I called the restaurant to ask his advice and he was so rude. He told me to pay cash and that my payment had not gone through and he wouldn’t get that money off Just Eat. At this point I was confused and seeked online help from the just eat robot online. They checked my order and confirmed I had paid for it. They told me to go to the restaurant and show the conversation between me and just eat to the owner and collect my food. I went to the restaurant and the guy was so rude. He refused to give me my food unless I paid cash. I tried to show him my bank statement and also the just eat help thread and he refused. I then got onto the help robot again whilst in the restaurant. They said the man needed to call them on the direct number so they could confirm to him it’s gone through. He also refused to do this. He started raising his voice at this point as to how much pressure he was under after Christmas and he had no one else helping him etc. At this point I was more than annoyed. I said he was out of order for putting all that on me ? Why is that my problem? I’ve paid 40 pounds, I’ve done everything he’s asked me to do ..... originally it was a delivery order and he told me to come collect it instead. And yet he was behaving like this. He then asked me to leave. I did. I left with no food, 1.5 hours of my life gone .... and no refund from him or just eat. Please rest assured I’ll be taking this further."

We ordered food and waited for two hours, but nothing arrived! We called four times to follow up, but the attitude was rude. We won't be coming back again.

I've been going here for about 10 years now and their pizza has stayed continuously amazing. It's authentic and fresh perfect for any occasion. It's all you could want in a pizza shop!

You wont find a more authentic Italian restaurant in all of UK. Gino the owner from Naples, is a masterclass of talent. I used to frequent this place daily during my student days 2008 to 2012. Ver carta

The meal deal for 2 was amazing, including 2 pizzas of choice, garlic bread and 2 drinks, all for £21.99. Not just a great price but great food too, freshly made with care. We’ll definitely come back here soon, thank you!

The chef and staff were welcoming and friendly as soon as I walked in. The conversation was enjoyable, and the spicy calzone was delicious. I will definitely return when I am in town. The restaurant is located in the lively Albany Road area, and the chili peppers in the dish had a nice kick to them.

Our food came delivered wrong, when rung and told that sorry wasn’t good enough. The woman on the phone was so rude saying well what do you want me to do about it? Making us feel like we were the problem. She then ended up putting the phone down on us explaining they are just so busy. Do not order from here if your orders wrong, the customer service is dreadful!!!!! Ver carta

That's how pizza decided to try Frankies. So we had the pollen chicken a mushroom a pepperoni one called piccante, the spicy beef chicken pepperoni fresh chili, tomatoes a mozzarella. My son is a great fan of pizza, but only pepperoni and only of certain places because of his happyness with the basis to say sure Frankies is added to his pizza place to go. The other son had the piccante and that was a hit for him, he can't wait to try the lasagna now. I had the pollen and it was stunning love the basis only the correct amount of chewing to it. Cant beat fresh pizza to this will certainly go our now. we went in an ordered and waited that they could not deny how fast it also dared I say it fast...

I visited Frankie’s in January as I had been told by a friend that it was a great place to order from. Well, from the moment I stepped in through the door it was already like they couldn’t be bothered and practically rolled their eyes at me when I started to order. It was like I had interrupted them from whatever was going on on their phone. I waited around half an hour for the food and when I got home, half of my order was either wrong or missing and the meat was significantly undercooked. The pasta was hard and our Rustica pizza had cherry tomatoes still on it even though I specifically asked for these to not be on there due to severe allergies; resulting in the pizza going in the bin. "It was the most bizarre experience dining here. First when we arrived in the restaurant, our group set up was that there was someone on each end who was sitting facing an empty chair on the other side of the table. Upon enquiry we understood it was a covid measure, however never had any other restaurants requesting such seating arrangements in the past 20 months. We ordered two split pots, a non-spicy broth for one side of the pot and a spicy broth for the other side. The staff came to confirm that we wanted spicy/non-spicy in each pot. Yes, we said. To our shock when the pots came, one pot was spicy/spicy on both side, and the other was non-spicy/non-spicy on both sides. This was after the staff had came by to confirm that we wanted a spicy/non-spicy set-up, and in the usual situation a person wanting a spicy broth would not have asked for a split pot. We raised this to the staff and were clearly unhappy about it, though did not insist on having the broths changed around. What happened next made it the most awkward and uncomfortable dining experience ever. From where we were sitting, we could hear the owner reprimanding the staff for the error, throughout our meal. We understand mistakes occur and if the owner was unhappy about the mistake and genuinely wanted to apologise, taking the initiative to change the broth to the right setup, or a complimentary drink or dish would have gone a long way. But no, he chose to reprimand the staff within our hearing for the whole dinner (which didn't help the situation one bit and made the experience worse! . We felt sorry for the staff. Even with the hospitality shortage, that was a completely wrong way to help the staff improve, nor help retain them in the long run. I don't remember anything about the food, although photos did show a good range to choose from. At the end of the meal we each received a box of hello panda, which might have helped, if not for the fact they were expired. All in all, would not recommend."
