"For many decades, I used to eat at the Restaurant Frohsinn in Opfikon some 4 miles from Zurich Airport, with airline and tour operator friends. I knew that this restaurant also had a few rustic rooms but no airport bus shuttle service. On May 20, 2019, I had difficulties finding accommodations near Zurich Airport. I called the restaurant,, and I was told that the owners, the Grimm Family had decided a couple of years ago to turn the former farm ranch building (the Kuhstall) into a 4-star hotel with 30 rooms and that city bus #759 with ample baggage space now stops right next to the hotel and restaurant. It was truly a lucky break that night. The rooms are above average size, well equipped, bright, with free WIFI service and near 100% sound-proofing. The restaurant is as popular as ever before with a large international menu selection featuring Swiss, European and Asian dishes. Drinks and wines are still reasonably priced. The owners, the Grimm Family seem to be able to keep their staff thus providing efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service. The hotel is well managed by Anja Pritz, who spares no effort to give her guests the best of service. The city bus shuttle provides frequent service form 530a till 1130p. In short,.Hotel-Restaurant Frohsinn provides best value at an affordable price. You will never be disappointed...Henri Gautschi"

Great as always. Everything is true, absolutely EVERYTHING. I don't know the hotel, but I think that's great too. Nice garden restaurant. Waiting for the garden season Pass by yourself. Very important: RESERVE!!!!!
