The location is nice but I was surprised that this scored so highly. Staff were friendly and efficient but the food was over priced for what it was and portions quite small.

Service is fast and efficient. WiFi connection was very good. Coffee was more than satisfactory. It's a great place for coffee and snacks when visiting the Köln Cathedral and the area.

Stopped in here randomly because I liked the name and was hungry. Waitress was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The BBQ sandwich she recommended was wonderful! Great vibes and views of the city streets with lots of people walking by. Would definitely go here again!

very good dinner and quality of food (for germany - because germans can't cook very well)so it's very good and they have nice choice of food and drinks.only BIG MINUS is, tĥat the waiters take the gratuity without asking....for example when you have for 18,80 € and you give 20 € they don't come back with the money... and this happend several times now

I chose the place based on the travlers reviews and votes and I was so satisfied! The location of the place is convenience.The menu is clear and translated to English. You do have so many choices for lunch.The staff are attentive, friendly and professional.I enjoy my tuna sandwich with a cup of Moca ( not so many places in the city serve it). The coffee is exllent.. I also tried the hot chocolate My son ordered pasta and it was good.I really like the place and I recommend it. Ver carta

We were visiting the beautiful cathedral in Cologne around lunchtime. There were a good number of tables with umbrellas set up on the plaza in front of a place named Funk House. How could I pass up an opportunity to eat at a place with this name? The waiter was the show. He spoke perfect English. Milady wanted to order from the children's menu. He allowed that that was perfectly okay, but we would have to wait 20 minutes because they didn't start the kids' menu until noon. No problem. We sampled the local brew which was excellent, then ordered. The rest of us chose from an assortment of bread and cheese offerings which were good. We would gothere again.

Difficult to make your choice in this city center where the choice is multiple. It is the cleanliness and the clientele that made me lean on this address.The decoration is resolutely chic and retro. Very clean. The armchairs on the terrace are very comfortable. The free wifi of the restaurant is of quality.The draft beer was very good, reasonably priced.At the level of the plate for the price, 9 €, nothing wrong. So certainly the German culinary culture is very different from our own, but the pasta was well cooked, well seasoned, the accompaniment very good. The whole was light. Cologne Center is overloaded with options for drinks and/or dining. Funk House sits on the corner with outside seating, while the interior is open to the fresh air. The bar tender recommended a delicious German Sauvignon Blanc, which went well with my spaghetti with pesto sauce and grilled shrimp. (Be sure to get extra oil, and salt&pepper to boost the pesto.)
