"Das beste Salatdressing, das ich je in einem Restaurant gegessen habe. Aber gernerell schmeckt mir hier alles, von Salat über Fleisch bis hin zum Fisch. Und die Vorspeisen sind auch einfach nur genial! Ebenfalls ganz toll, dass es immer mal wieder saisonale Spezial-Gerichte gibt, wie z.B. Miesmuscheln. Auch die Getränkeauswahl ist genial und ganz nach meinem Geschmack. Sehr guter Rosé, tolle Biersorte (nicht immer nur das langweilige Karlsberg oder Bitburger), Aperol Spritz, saarländischer Gin von Agnes Green und vieles mehr."

"Wir waren zu viert nur zum Essen da. Die Tische waren nicht eingedeckt. Es standen nur Servietten da. Die Bedienung begann dann die Tische einzudecken, alle, nur unseren nicht. Nach ner Weile wurden uns Gläser gebracht, allerdings andere, als auf den anderen Tischen. Die Bedienung brachte das Besteck und reichte dieses einfach kreuz und quer über den Tisch. Das Essen war gut, allerdings gab es keine Tagessuppe weil wir hatten mittags ne Veranstaltung . Fazit: Bei Veranstaltungen am Samstag gibt 's abends keine Suppe! Seltsam! Um Getränke nachzuordern musste man Glück haben. Es kam niemand auf die Idee, mal am Tisch zu fragen Darf ich Ihnen noch was zu trinken bringen? Nee, man musste praktisch um Hilfe betteln. Wir wirkten der Bedienung zu, die vorbei eilte, woraufhin diese kam und die Rechnung machen wollte. Wir wollten aber eigentlich Getränke bestellen. Immerhin entschuldigte sich die Chefin(? später beim Bezahlen. Das Ambiente fanden wir nicht so prickelnd. Die seltsamen Lampen am Tisch dienen sowohl als Sichtschutz zum Nachbartisch als auch zur Beleuchtung, immer vorausgesetzt sie funktionieren. Die an unserem Tisch funktionierte nicht, weil auch keine Möglichkeit bestand, sie irgendwie mit ner Steckdose zu verbinden. Die riesige Glasfront/Schiebeelement könnte ein wenig Dekoration gut vertragen, denn der Ausblick auf das Nachbargebäude mit feuchtfröhlicher Bierparty auf dem Balkon war nicht gerade toll. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht und werden nicht mehr hier her kommen. Schade!"

"Wir waren nicht sonderlich begeistert! Die Kneipe ist etwas runtergekommen und auch nicht besonders sauber! Unsere Steaks waren leider fast durchgebraten! Für unseren Geschmack viel zu große Portionen aber gut wär's mag. Auch geschmacklich war es leider nicht so gut. Schade aber den Rezessionen nach scheint es den meisten zu schmecken. (Halt wie immer Geschmackssache) Preislich war alles OK. P.s. Personal war sehr nett!!!"

"Bringing my parents over to Germany to meet the Mr's parents found us at Locanda Grappolo d oro this visit was as amazing as our first visit Even though it was a holiday, they were open for lunch Amuse Busche consisted of Smoked Salmon, Gnocchi Potato Salad for the meat eaters. We veggies had a nice piece of Cantaloupe substituted for the salmon I have to point out that their Gnocchi has taken my #1 favorite gnocchi of all times I would have happily made a meal out of those little pillows Just a bit of texture, these gnocchi melted in the mouth yet still had a bit of chew. Paired w/ truffles in butter sauce just a hint of Parmesan, this was absolute heaven! Appetizers for all consisted of their Cream of Alfalfa Sprout Soup Never would have thought to make alfalfa into a soup but this had a TON of flavor. Nicely spiced creamed yet they allowed the sprouts to take center stage really shine I could have had 3 more of these Main courses for the Mr's parents included the Beef w/ Peppercorns just like last time, it did not disappoint My Mom had the fish said it was soft flaky she polished off the whole dish Daddy chose the Beef in a Mustard Sauce said the beef was extremely tender flavorful the sauce put it over the top The Mr I had their Asparagus Risotto creamy, rich paired w/ tender perfectly al dente spears of Asparagus this was another risotto heaven Desserts for the table included some nice coffee their assorted cookies homemade wine filled truffles......perfection!"

"I arrived at 2 pm and upon my question whether they could still prepare me food, I was told YES (but I was cutting it close). I did not expect the food on the German side of the border to be better than that on...the French side, but such is life. Excellent Wiener Schnitzel with an excellent wine (suggested on a board outside the entrance). Not only was the food quality high (a proper veal schnitzel with just the right amount of lemon wedge), the portion was so generous that this cyclist who had just competed more than 65 km could not finish it. I am jealous of the people who live close by and have the chance to eat the Local's Lunch fo 8.50 Euros every day !"
