This is an upscale German restaurant with great service and really nice food. It is a little more expensive than other restaurants around, but is extremely tasty and has many choices if you want to try traditional German food!

Friendly service, beautiful terrace. We had smoked trout and it was copious and delicious. We visited in the chanterelle season and they proposed a full seasonal special menu! I had some caramelised chanterelles with vanilla ice cream. Ver carta

This restaurant captures local spirit it is located right in the middle of the city centre. They serve traditional Bavarian dishes. However, restaurant is closed in the middle of the day, so pay attention to working hours when visiting.

Großes Restaurant im Stadtzentrum von Eichstätt mit schöner Inneneinrichtung und gemütlichem Biergarten. Sehr große Speisenauswahl und durchwegs gute Qualität. Auch der Service ist freundlich; die Preise sind etwas höher als anfangs erwartet, aber dennoch gerechtfertigt.

The restaurant has tables available in the Domplatz, and in their own biergarten, and inside. We ate inside because of the weather, and it was quite pleasant; uncrowded, not too noisy, perfect for a conversation. The food is predominately Bavarian, which is fine by me...when I am in Bavaria. Ein Wirtshaus 2.0. Hier verbindet sich Tradition mit Moderne. Ein Familienbetrieb, wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Toller familiärer Zusammenhalt trotz schwieriger personeller Rahmenbedingungen, herzlicher u. perfekter Service, Essen, das qualitativ und optisch alle Stückerl spielt. Klassische bayrische Küche auf höchsten Niveau. Ein Gasthaus, das in jeder Hinsicht ein Erlebnis und eine Empfehlung ist. Wer bayrische Wirtshauskultur at it's best erleben will,sollte hier einkehren.

My favorite meal while in Europe this trip. One of our group called ahead and made reservations, they told the owner that I was from Nurnburg and loved Bavarian food. When we arrived they didn't bring menus instaed said they had prepared a special meal...if that was okay. What a spread with Leberknödel soup, grilled pork shoulder, various wurst, sauerkraut, hand made fresh spaetzle, potato dumplings, and delicious pork gravy. Followed by a number of desserts. Of course the Hofmuhl beer was great as well.

Nachdem wir jahrelange Stammgäste im Gasthof Krone sind, stand für uns gleich fest, dass wir unsere Hochzeit auch dort feiern möchten. Ende 2022 kurz vor Weihnachten haben wir im Kreise unserer Freunde und Familie dort ein wundervolles Hochzeitsfest gefeiert. Das Essen war wie immer toll angerichtet und hat fantastisch geschmeckt. Die Deko war wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail dekoriert. Unsere Gäste haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles top organisiert (großes Lob an das Team! und es blieben keine Wünsche offen.
