the menu promised interesting dishes, but everything tasted very well made.

After a hard day's shopping and pounding the streets of Guildford, we came here for liquid refreshment.

The Giraffe in Guildford is spacious, comfortable, with good family friendly table and chair configurations.

By far the coolest thing at Giraffe was the giraffe-shaped swizzle stick that came with my Hippy Hippy Shake smoothie.

Not enough staff for a Bank Holiday. Was told that we couldn’t use vouchers but I showed server the app then they changed their mind. First three items we ordered we either no longer actually on the menu or had run out of stock. Overpriced for an average burger and about 8 fries.

Waited 45 mins for our food to arrive and my burger was cold. No one came over to say there would be a wait or check in. I was going to complain at the end but they were so slow getting our bill to us I had to leave with my son so he wouldn’t get bored and my husband paid after asking for the bill twice.

The service was awful, not sure why. The place was only half-full with three members of staff. There was no focus or care and we continually had to ask for various aspects to be dealt with. Left without having been offered a dessert menu or coffee. Had to ask for bill and wait at counter for it. This was not good value for money or an acceptable outing.

We had booked a table in advance and when we sat down the seats were dirty the fabric needed a good clean. Whilst we waited for one more guest we were offered water. When it came the glass had previous food or something on it. We never knew who was really serving us as we had multiple servers. I had the Smoky Chicken Pide which was overcooked and tasteless and small for the money. Another person had the tagliatelle which was ok and another had the Rodeo Chicken was warm but not hot. In the gents toilets one of the sinks and one of the urinals was out of order. The bill had an optional service charge which is automatically added. It was unclear whether this went to the staff or into the compa...
