"The food is what you would expect. However, I want to highlight the table service. We arrived early, around 5:00 AM, and were in line with about 40 other customers. Although we were second in line, we ended up being among the last to be served. It took over an hour to receive a simple breakfast, not counting the waiting time in line. This isn’t ideal if you have a flight to catch, especially when you see about 30 people who entered after you already finishing their meals. The restaurant might want to consider implementing a better system to manage this in the future. Aside from that, everything was fine."

Restaurant was very busy but we didn’t wait that much for our food…fish and chips was really tasty, our waitress was super fast and helpful.

The service was excellent and the food was good. While the cappuccino could have used a bit more flavor, my avocado toast with extra mushrooms was delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast bap, even without the egg. Overall, I’d give it a solid 4 stars.

My expectations were pretty low from the beginning, given that it was breakfast at the airport, and they met those expectations. I ordered the veggie breakfast, and the standout was definitely the avocado. Unfortunately, the veggie sausage was cold on the inside and hard to cut. Ver carta

Had the Giraffe hash which was not bad at all. For eggs Benedict they have a chilly hollandaise which makes it a bit different. Busy restaurant with queues before being seated so do allow time to wait for service and food. There isn't much choice at Terminal 5, Giraffe is not a bad option.

The burger was quite disappointing—bland and with a terrible texture. The bun was excessively dry. The salad hadn't been washed properly. I gave two stars instead of one because we found some entertainment in the drama unfolding among the front-of-house staff as they argued about a waitress's complaints regarding having to serve all the tables.

We experienced a short wait time and the food was satisfactory. However, the standout aspect was the service. Even though the restaurant was quite crowded, we were quickly attended to and received our meals within fifteen minutes. We ordered the beef burger, the giraffe special chicken wings, and coffee. The food itself was enjoyable, but I would definitely recommend steering clear of the coffee! Ver carta

I had a great experience here. We ordered and got our food in under 10 minutes and were very pleased by that. As far as airport food goes, it passes the standards for both being healthy, fun themed, and decent taste. We had a long layover the chairs were comfortable, so we sat with some tea for an hour after eating and were not rushed. We were also able to get the bill quickly when we were ready to leave. Healthy food (not greasy), good service, cute decorated space, solid 4 stars.

We had a fantastic breakfast while waiting for our flight to board. I've dined at Giraffe a few times, mostly in Kings Cross, so I was delighted to discover one at Heathrow. I enjoyed a delicious, reasonably priced breakfast featuring smoked salmon and sourdough, while my partner chose the eggs with ham, and both dishes were superb. The service was quick and friendly, even though it was quite busy. I highly recommend Giraffe for its value and freshness among all the cafes available in Terminal 5.

"Visit with friends. Arrived and the restaurant was very empty at that time of the evening. Shown to a table that had been allocated to us. Asked if we could move to another and I was initially given the impression that that might be difficult. Just to say again that the tables were allocated rather than reserved. Another customer was making a similar request and after some back and forth we could both move. Not the greatest of starts. This restaurant specialises in Punjabi cuisine. That is what attracted us in the first place when reviewing the menu online before we booked. Starters were of a generous size but rather stodgy. Perhaps more filling for a starter than you might expect particularly if you had ordered a main course and were intending to have a dessert. In contrast my wives dessert was very small for the price charged. The main courses were very spicy even though we requested mild. I appreciate that is a preference on our parts but my wife felt the same. We went with a friend who was visibly sweating. He comment on his main fish course was that under the spice it was a little bland. A lady I took to be the owner asked if we were enjoying our main couse? We commented on how spicy they were and asked for some yoghurt to cool them down. This was supplied with no issues and in fact my wife's prawns (only three found sadly) and my lamb main course were taken back to the kitchen to have I assume some of the chillies taken out or additional yoghurt added. This was done very politely and efficiently. Just to add we have absolutely no issues with regional food differences whether they may be. Perhaps our preference in this instance for less spice takes away from the experience the restaurant seeks to give. However requesting when ordering a mild version, and when asked what we preferred as well, makes the customer right. To drink. A beer for me and our friend. A cranberry juice for my wife which apparently tasted like a squash. Service left something to be desired as well I am afraid. On our initial table three menus supplied. On the second only one and had to ask for two more. Table wiped down after our main courses but only one corner? Had to ask several times for the bill, having asked the lady above who dealt with the spicy food issues. In fact she was eating her evening meal behind us with other customers and jumped up and apologised when she realised she had not let us have our bill. The waitress who we dealt with initially about our table allocation asked at the end of our meal if we had enjoyed it and if we would return. Afraid we said no to both. We had a mutually respectable conversation as to why not and discussed the issues above and others. So a disappointing evening I am afraid. However this is a true reflection of our experience from our perspectives."
