We went there twice in 24h! It's a lovely setting suitable for bigger groups. The service was not as efficient as we would have liked but friendly. The food was excellent, some of the best fish chips ever.

Came here on Monday 4th September for a birthday treat, lady that served us (unfortunately didn’t get her name) was brilliant, couldn’t have asked for anything better. Food was quick and piping hot. Overall a excellent evening.

A menu with limited options was made even more limited by a number of items not being available. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, however the service was very slow. It was clear the staff didn’t want to be there. It is a place that is ok for a drink only, but not for a meal.

We booked a table for 25 people for our choir post Christmas meal. The food and service were excellent. All of our meals hot and very tasty. The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient at all times. We all had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend to everyone. Compliments to the chef and staff from all of us.

My friend and I visited on Sunday 3rd September for lunch. I had Fish and Chips, my friend had Roast Chicken with all the trimmings. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. The chips were delicious...full marks to the chef. The waiting staff were friendly. We would not hesitate to return. My only quibble would be it was a hot day...could some of the smaller windows have been opened or one or two fans have been placed in the dining area...

I made a reservation as there were some of us. it was fantastic. I think the name of the waiter was peter (blue hair.) service was impeccable, eat worth it when it was excellent. the place is dog-friendly (we booked in advance.) table setting for the group brilliant. When our meal arrived, we were blown away absolutely deliciously. we will definitely come back. my son who is fussy also said that this is the best meal he had in a restaurant for a very long time. our group consisted of 3 adults and 2 children with 2 dogs in the tow.

We visited on Sunday 1st October. We booked a table for 2pm for 10 people, celebrating my dad’s 85th birthday. Service was slow especially the time it took the food to come out. Our roast beef was so tough and when you see photo of what we got served, you would question whether they have ‘chefs’ or staff that just heats up food. In this case the beef was so over done it looks like they left it under the heat lamp and let it frazzle. we were a party of 11, family meeting for a Christmas meeting. we did this 4 years ago and were so impressed by the food, it was our obvious choice, after so long not to see each other. the service was good and the marquee outside was nice, we went there after our meal for a last drink, it is very festive. the meal itself was average and quite disappointing. they were so overcooked that they were no longer the living green that they should have been and were ridiculously soft. there were no other sweets except the bratkartoffels that were beautiful. the yorkshires could be caught in the half, they were so hard. we didn't complain because it was the first time that we were together in a long...

We booked for early Sunday evening for a family members birthday. 6 adults, 2 children. The restaurant was quiet but it still took nearly 15 mins for someone to take our food and drinks order. The drinks then took another 15 mins to arrive. The starters arrived a short while later for those who ordered them and were fine.
