decided to not cook on way home stopped of for small chinese ,can get half portions of some food if eating for one even better,enjoyed delish.

We had nothing to fault with the takeout!!! The Crispy Duck was fantastic, along with the shrimp curry, lemon chicken, and Singapore noodles. Everything was excellent. Thank you.

Been a customer of the Golden Bowl to get a takeaway for years now, great tasting food every time never disappoints. Great value for money and very friendly. Always fresh, never greasy or cold.

Takeaway for two, chicken awful, dry and pork just the same. Food tasted as if it had been left under a heat lamp. With so many other Chinese takeaways in Hythe, no point in wasteing your money and digestion here.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant. I ordered a takeout after a late shift on Saturday and couldn't decide what to order, so I asked the woman on the phone to choose a chicken dish with chili and a vegetable chow mein. I had never tried this place before and was extremely impressed! The chicken was delicious, I'm not sure what it was, but I will definitely be returning. The staff was also very friendly.

We have been loyal customers of the Golden Bowl takeaway for over 20 years, always impressed by its quality and value. However, our recent experience was disappointing. Despite seeing Visa signs, we were told to pay with cash. While the food arrived quickly, the quality was lacking. The sweet and sour chicken balls were like rubber, the beef chop suey had only beef and bean sprouts in a tomato sauce, the BBQ spare ribs were dried out, and the Singapore noodles were bland and overcooked. The only dish that met our expectations was the mixed vegetable curry. We hope this was a one-time issue as Golden Bowl is our favorite Chinese takeaway.

We have used the Golden Bowl for decades and have always found the food delicious. We have used Chens Garden recently as they deliver but decided to collect from Golden Bowl for a change. We'll that was a mistake. We had heard it had changed hands and we had also heard mixed reviews recently but due to the many years of good food we had confidence. We had several different mains plus chips, rice and prawn crackers. Everything, except the chips (which weren't great but were edible), ended up in the bin. It was disgusting. Thick stodgy bland and tasteless. Literally unpleasant to eat. Even the prawn crackers weren't crisp and tasted of old cooking oil. We shared the chips and then got the corn...

I decided to visit this takeaway whilst on holiday am so pleased that I did, I ordered a king prawn curry with egg fried rice from the friendly lady at the counter, I had my credit card in my hand to pay as that's what most places prefer you to use these days, but was told cash only paid via a jug that you put the money in are given your change in the same way, they are seriously following Covid 19 guidelines.
