The food at this restaurant is consistently fantastic every time. Crowd favorites include the salt and pepper wings and sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style.

Used to go once a week then a couple of times chicken friend rice was dry took it back all they did was put it back in the woke and coverd in sauce its was discusting

The restaurant has improved its food quality since hiring a new chef under new ownership. Like any business, they initially faced some challenges with different chefs, but the food has steadily improved over time. Ver carta

The food was excellent about a year ago, but then declined in quality for a while. However, I tried the restaurant tonight and ordered chips and salt and pepper ribs, which were perfect. I hope they can maintain these standards.

Since Lisa the old owner left it’s gone bad this new owner is living off the good reputation it did have everything about the food is absolutely awful I’ve been going here for years but not ever again wish I knew where Lisa had opened her next shop

Ordered today by phone for collection for a family birthday. Burnt dark fried rice that tasted, smelt and looked burnt. Sweet sour sauce that just tasted of vinegar. Inedible. Salt and pepper chicken that was tiny solid hard batter blobs with no sign of chicken. Really embarrassing when treating family to a birthday takeaway. Will not be returning. Shockingly poor for such a long serving takeaway. Ver carta

My partner decided to get our Friday night tea from here as she has used it in the past and recommended it. I can quite honestly say it is the worst chinese meal I have ever had ,very poor meat content bulked out by some gooey blocks and absoloutley tasteless my partner just wanted chips snd gravy and again very small amount of gravy, too many good chinese takeaways around to waste your money on this poor quality and dismal food won't be returning.

Haven't been here for ages. It used to be great. My partner just picked up a Chinese meal for herself, and a fish, peas and gravy for me. She says hers was nice, but mine was disgraceful. The fish (tiny and almost dried to dessication) was obviously at LEAST a day old, so they had absolutely covered it in gravy to hide that fact. It is so very upsetting to pay over £7.00 for something that they were aware was disgusting. I hope this puts at least one prospective customer off, so they can avoid the dissatisfaction i feel at the moment. I use this chippy all the time. I live literally round the corner from the golden phoenix. I am disabled the first time I used their delivery I felt embarrassed to be ordering from round the corner, the minute I told them I was disabled she said its no problem. I could literally go out of my back gate to the chippy at the back of me. I just can't tell you how nice the food is from golden phoenix. It is just delicious. I have ordered lots of different food it is always delicious. The delivery is fab too. Love the lady and young boy that deliver. Food is always hot.
