the restaurant golden brain in the new town of mainz is still quite new and makes itself a name with good home cooking. the stuffed bunsrücker kartoffel monkeys are brilliant. Always super friendly. absolutely recommended.

eating was very good, but because of the 2-hour regulation you get into a stress situation, which is because of the pleasure of eating greatly impaired. you are often asked if you want another drink or dessert to accommodate everything in these 2 hours! who likes hearty kitchen, he finds in golden heir with safety the appropriate. good portioning, tastefully remembers everything of mamas or omas kitchen. the price-performance ratio is neat. the broth spreads on the front you can share well. telephone table reservation for 5 persons on 15.12.2016, agreed on 06.11.2016, will be sent to call answerers for a month after agreement, i.e. on 07.12.2016 canceled with the note that 'personal has made a mistake' . I had already stood -trotz reservation- in front of closed door in summer. it was a note on the door that was closed because of a pipe break. at that time I had thought 'can happen'. However, if a long agreed reservation is cancelled in the pre-Christmas period, I have no chance to get a table in another restaurant. this locality is unreliable and I will avoid it in the future.

"we thought it was time that four years ago opened patagonia in the mainzer neustadt to test. the bus and tram connection is excellent, the parking situation is very difficult. there is an outside area at the restaurant, and the dining room is large and clear. because the guests were distributed outside and inside, the reservation about opentable would not have been necessary. so we were allowed to choose a table and were welcomed by the two ladies in the service friendly. we found a rectangle with a view of a large flatscreen, on which a diashow of pictures ran from patagonia, which first triggered television. steaks are offered in all variations, and the selection is quite difficult. we first took three empanadas with different fillings that relatiw quickly came out of the kitchen and taste very good.My wife decided in the main course for a rumpsteak of the even medium rare with grill potatoes and salad. I had previously researched the card in the internet and asked myself what a flap steak was. wikipedia helped and so I knew it was a cut that is very common in patagonia and comes very close to the us sirloin strip. I wanted to try this and ordered it **** in the bloom. I took a foil potato. both supplements were handed with the obligatory sourcream with coriander. the two supplemental salads were fresh, colourful and crisp, with the carrots also liked as a supplement. Even with critical consideration, the performance was in all respects of expectations: the services were extremely friendly and stood also in the meat selection with rat and did the side. the we chose to be perfectly met. confusingly I found the hints in the menu on the recommended per steak. these were all together and especially between medium and well done. that was not comprehensible for me because of the top quality of meat, all in all a very successful evening with a quite reasonable price-performance ratio. we like to come back to patagonia."
