My second takeaway from here. I recommend the crispy chicken balls, and the salt and pepper chips. Will order again. Prompt delivery, polite driver, hot and tasty food. What more can you ask for?

I have eated inside this restaurant, and I have recently had a couple of takeaways too and I think the food from here is amazing. Whenever we feel like a takeaway, this is always top of our list. Keep up the good work :

Unfortunately, in my opinion, this restaurant has declined in quality. The food does not taste as good as it used to, and it seems that they use too much MSG, making it difficult to enjoy. You may need a lot of water to get through a few courses.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious food and the service was prompt. Despite initial concerns sparked by recent reviews, our experience was actually quite positive and we were satisfied with our meal. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Extremely disappointed!…. After waiting over an hour and 50 minutes it arrived stone cold bearing in mind we only live 5 minutes away from the restaurant, once we rang back to complain a lady answered and was extremely rude, she responded what do you want us to do about it and told her to go elsewhere!!! Never received such awful customer service, it was a shame because we have ordered from here before and the food has always been nice.

I ordered online after creating an account and paid £55 for my order, which also included a delivery fee. However, moments later I received an email stating that they would not deliver to me because I lived too far away, even though I live in the same area as their postcode (CW2). I found it frustrating that it only takes 15 minutes to travel from their location to mine. Additionally, I was disappointed to learn from the email that I wouldn't be refunded my money for 3-5 days. My advice would be not to accept orders or payment if you cannot fulfill them.

I visited here many times when it was a restaurant and was always very happy. Sadly it has changed from an excellent restaurant to a very poor quality takeaway. On this visit we had salt and pepper spare ribs, which were hard dry and quite unpleasant, followed by a chicken curry which was bland, tasting of nothing but a heavy dose of flour which had not even been cooked out properly. The chicken and curry sauce were lacking in any flavour and most of it went in the bin. 1 star for the prawn crackers which were fine. Don't waste your money it's truly terrible.

Having ordered an average of 3 take away meals a week from Goomet over the last three to four months, the food is fair. However, what is not fair is when the Lady owner of Goomet decides when and if she would like to take your order and your money! When telephoning for a takeaway order, if the restaurant is quiet and they have no other orders to cook, you are met with the normal disingenuous politeness. However, woe betide you dare to call on an evening when they have a couple of orders already waiting to be cooked, that's when that phoney customer service really shines through! We have ordered from Goomet twice in recent weeks, seeking an alternative to our usual Chinese having recently moved to the area. The first time we were pleasantly surprised, then the second time just confirmed that this is an excellent takeaway. The Hong Kong Sweet and Sour was beautiful, really soft chicken pieces in a tangy sauce. The Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup was excellent, as was the Crispy Beef in Chilli Sauce (albeit a touch sweet for my palate, my partner loved it). The Salt and Pepper Chips were a touch indistinct, which is the only reason I can't give 5 stars on this occasion.
