I am not at all pleased with this bakery as they falsely advertise themselves as a French establishment.

We all commented on how nice it is to eat such well-prepared food with some unusual selections. A very special time on an ordinary Thursday!

Stunning food with exceptional service. So many little extras that made our meal even more special. I could eat a vat of their butter and sourdough bread.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at The Greyhound. The standout feature was the exceptional customer service, which was truly unparalleled. Every staff member demonstrated impressive attentiveness and professionalism. The food was of excellent quality and bursting with flavor, with every dish on the menu exceeding our expectations.

Exceptional! I have twice as much for food that was half as good. The service was fantastic the food was amazing and the atmosphere was great The staff became friends before we left. It was my wife’s birthday and upon arrival we were presented with a birthday card signed by all the staff. That attention to detail is commendable. We will return again very soon as the Greyhound has become our favourite restaurant. Wonderful.

"Very disappointing. Our table was on the first floor via a steep narrow staircase. This is not suitable for an infirm or elderly person. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The table settings are nice. One is served with warm, somewhat hard, bread roll and butter. and a small soft roll sprinkled with parmesan, presumably an 'amuse bouche '. Everything is served with a flourish. We each had a main dish, without starter. Servings are small on large plates. My wife ordered one of two meat dishes on the menu sirloin steak which proved somewhat chewy and indifferent flavour. The alternative would have been rabbit. There were two fish dishes which would have been my choice but one with ginger to which I have an aversion which the chef apparently was unable remove. The other fish on offer was coley which is generally regarded as a cheap alternative to cod or haddock. It is used extensively in manufacture of fish fingers. The only other offering was a vegetarian dish with main ingredient of cauliflower. I often choose a vegetarian dish but this was without doubt the worst I had ever encountered. A small piece of cauliflower accompanied by other small, pretty tasteless objects that I could not identify but described as 'nori dumpling, chestnut mushroom, spring greens '. Finally, my wife chose a dark chocolate delice which she pronounced as ok but unremarkable. We have dined in restaurants of many standards worldwide and The Greyhound is both pretentious and for us, one of the worst for food."
