Me and the Mrs don't go out for food often so it made a nice change to go to a local pub and be served excellent food an a proper poured pint of Guinness thanks for a lovely evening

My first time here, service was really good, the staff friendly and attentive The food was extremely good, very fresh I’ve just moved to the area and I can see this being my go-to restaurant I can’t fault it at all

Delicious food beautifully presented, and attentive service throughout the evening. A great choice of specials to choose from as well as a good choice on the usual menu. We ordered the rib and wing combo and the smoked salmon and prawn starter. Our mains were the pulled lamb sandwich and lamb pie, and we shared a dessert which was a Manchester tart. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing! We highly recommend

We visited in June last year and I had what I said was the best steak I’ve had in a long time. Went again today and was not disappointed! Other half had the soup which was delicious and I had the mushrooms; I wanted to lick the dish! Followed by lamb shank and another wonderful steak. Nice wine and proper cocktails. We live local and definitely need to come here more often. Dog friendly too. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

My son wanted to give this place a try so we booked a pre-footy match dinner on Saturday night. I took my Burnley mad grandson along too. It did not disappoint, the venue is very well appointed, the drinks and food are excellent, service is great and prices reasonable. I like it! Brnley lost 1-0 to Manchester United but the dinner helped make up for the loss. Three of us had steak dinners and each plate was cooked to order and were pretty much perfect. What's not to like?

Warm welcome by a lovely, polite young man. Shame the experiment didn’t continue in this way! Asked several times if we had decided what we wanted (asked in these words ! by a female, I would say 30’s with blonde hair, order placed and food came about 20/30 mins later, more than happy with food and times. Said female was very loud and shouted several times across the restaurant to varying people what they wanted and drinks etc. overall, staff common and not appealing, food and drinks good. Please improve on staff to make a lovely local pub

Not a great experience, birthday meal to forget. Starters tiny and I mean tapas size. Wife's pie was fine as was my son's burger. Sunday brisket roast was ruined by horrendous mash potatoes full of dried herbs and green in colour. I went for the 10oz ribeye medium rare with upgrade to aspen fries. Fries were a tiny portion which was fine as they were covered again in the mixed herbs, plenty parmesan though. Missing unfortunately was the necessary truffle oil which just made them so dry and uncomfortable to eat. 6 of us went for a Sunday lunch. Nice friendly welcome and drinks order taken pretty much as soon as we sat down. 3 of us opted for the Sunday roast the other 3 chose meals from the menu. The Sunday roasts were a bit disappointing, the meat was delicious but everything else was a huge let down. The frozen Yorkshire puddings were soggy, the 3 tiny roast potatoes were chewy and seemed like they were leftovers that had been warmed up. The frozen stuffing ball was very dry the pig in blanket was also over cooked but the mash was ok. For £15 I would have expected freshly made food, it was definitely not worth the price. This used to be one of my favourite restaurants. It's had a great menu, Manchester vibes, and was just great. My wife and I went over for dinner last night, and I was so excited, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectation. We went in at 6:30 pm and it was empty. Never a good sign. We were warmly greeted and told to find a table, and drinks would be taken. We were given menus, and we both immediately wanted cheese and onion pies.
