"Wir waren mit zwei befreundeten Ehepaaren am Moon and Stars und haben am Folgetag einen Ausflug ins schöne Verzascatal gemacht. Als Abschluss vor der Heimreise freuten wir uns auf ein feines Essen in der Osteria. Die Begrüssung fiel schon sehr zurückhaltend aus und auf unser Anliegen, dass wir gerne Essen würden, hiess es: es gibt nichts, wir haben heute Abend das Haus voll. Das Restaurant war zu dieser Zeit (kurz vor 16 Uhr) bis auf vier weitere Gäste leer! Auf der Karte habe ich gelesen, dass es von 12 - 21.30 Essen gibt - haben wir da etwas falsch verstanden?Zumindest erhielten wir dann eine grosse Platte mit leckerem Fleisch und Käse, welche allerdings nicht sehr liebevoll angerichtet war. Die Bedienung (whs. der Chef selber) war auch eher arrogant. Die Lage und das Lokal sind super... der Rest... na ja... enttäuschend!"

"Per Zufall haben wir uns dorthin verirrt. Der Empfang war freundlich, ein MittagsMenu wird sofort angeboten, die Speisekarte steht jedoch auch zur Verfügung. Man wird zwar ein bisschen länger warten, aber alle Speisen werden frisch zubereitet. Die Portionen sind grosszügig. Wir haben Penne Matriciana, Carpacio di Manzi, Prosciuto crudo e Meline, sowie Cost. Ml. Grill genossen. Ein halber Ltr Merlot, al lago e del Ristorante haben hervorragend gemundet. Auch mit dem Grappa beim Correto wird nicht gespart. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder dort einkehren und uns verwöhnen lassen. Die Aussicht über den See ist übrigens fantastisch."

"Family owned/operated. Restaurant with a handful of rooms above. The review is difficult because the owners were nice. However, I felt uncomfortable and can't recommend it. Bed was lumpy and sheets stained. (That kind of stain. No shampoo, conditioner, or body wash provided only hand soap. The owners appeared to be living on the premises and the people in the room adjacent to ours were very loud and up late. Our room did not have a TV, so I can only surmise that the adjoining room with a loud TV was the owner's. The TV and loud conversations kept us up late. The old/historic town is 50 100 yards away and has a bell tower. The bell tower goes off all night. You'll hear it at 10pm, you'll hear it at 5am, it just does not stop. With the exception of these rather important failings, the room was adequate and probably at the level of a motel 6 again, aside from the above, in terms of paint, walls, bathroom, fixtures, etc. The above issues aren't acceptable at any level. Food in the restaurant was pricey but adequate. It was nothing to get excited about, but it was simple tasty food. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the reason you're in the town the bridge and the river. For that purpose, it is ideally situated, you don't need to worry about where to park your car, and you can spend as much time as you want without worrying about anything. Valley Verzasca is beautiful, but Americans and Brits probably aren't used to this sort of traveling. This review is hard because I think the family is very well intentioned, but there are some real issues. It's not a good feeling to hear the owners through walls. In an unfamiliar place, it doesn't feel cozy or welcoming or especially safe. It's troubling that simple things like soap weren't there. It's a little (a lot gross that there were sex stains on the bed sheets. I also don't think you have any other options if you want to stay 5 minutes from the beautiful river and bridge. Go in with eyes open. Good luck."
