I love this place, we come every week. The staff are super friendly and always go above and beyond for you. The roast dinner is amazing, with plenty of vegetables and meat compared to other places, and it's great value for money.

We had an excellent lunch here today, everything cooked perfectly and very generous portions plus sharing dishes of mixed fresh vegetables, cauliflower cheese and dauphinoise potatoes. Very happy to recommend and will certainly return.

Thank you for a lovely roast on Fathers day! My husband enjoyed his lovely lunch. After we sat in the lively beer garden listening to the birds and watching the horses go by, which our children loved. The waitresses were amazing, really smiley and attentive, lovely atmosphere. Never been before, after a drink outside in the garden we popped inside for beer battered cod, fries, peas and tartare sauce, oh my goodness what a lovely meal. I am fussy over tartare sauce, I like it 'tart ' not mild and this was lush . The cod and batter was amazing. Bit of banter with the landlady and others made the early evening a great one. We had heard that The Half Moon in Stoke St. Mary was offering takeout, so we decided to order Fish and Chips. The food was cooked fresh upon arrival, so we decided to enjoy a quick beer while we waited. The Fish and Chips were absolutely delicious, we couldn't rate them highly enough. The Irish curry sauce was also amazing. We will definitely be returning for more. Great portion sizes and great service. Thank you, Amanda.

I highly recommend this restaurant for its Roast Lunch. It was truly the best I've ever had. It felt like it was made specifically for me. The vegetables were fresh and there was a generous portion of meat. I especially appreciated that they gave extra gravy without me having to ask. The young staff was attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. It was a pleasure to dine in the garden alongside three beautiful horses. Can't wait to visit again. Thank you! Ver carta

Initial call wasn’t answered, so logged into ‘their’ web site, followed instructions to book and sent confirmation to our fellow diners. Who rang back wondering why we were booking somewhere in Birmingham! Second call was answered, booking for following day accepted and explanation that their website link isn’t theirs! Lunch was okay: two very good gammon steaks, two so so veggie lasagne with strange pasta tomato salad side, and a steak pie devoured with gusto by a 12 year old who scoffs anything! Nice surroundings, friendly lady management and young waitress; somewhat offhand bar staff.

Superb! We arrived at the pub on our tractors as we were attending a local country show t at the nearby racecourse. We rang ahead and made a reservation for 14 or so covers, all no problem and dealt with efficiently and politely. Arriving at the pub, we parked our tractors int he field adjacent to the car park, to be immediately greeted by the lovely landlady who was keen to take photos of the tractors. We were soon inside the cosy pub, it was busy with a great atmosphere, we took to our table after ordering drinks at the bar, all served very quickly. Nice selection of beers, ales and ciders. We called a day ahead to ask if there was space for a large group for Sunday dinner to finish off a hen weekend! Hayley kindly booked us in with no problems!! Warm, cosy and very friendly pub. The roast dinner was perfect, plentiful, hot and delicious!! I had the roast beef which was served a little pink in the middle. Very tender meat. Loads of veg and choice of potatoes, plenty of gravy. Nothing was too much trouble for the group. A few also had desserts (I didn’t as I had a long journey North) but I wished I had as they looked insane!! Sticky toffee pudding, crumble and cheesecake.
