"Needing a meal after a long drive there are very few restaurants open on a Sunday evening in Falaise. We were greeted cordially by the owner. There are two rooms and with three tables occupied there was a pleasant atmosphere. The decor is Greek taverna/Italian cafe style of the 70/80s with rather gaudy murals of village houses, steps and flowers but certainly a talking point. There was an a la carte menu but we opted for the €22.50 three course menu with about 4 choices for each course. A glass of local wine was €4.50 and a Heineken Pression €3.20. Bread and a bottle of water were included. The pate was ok; the trio of fish were nicely presented but a great deal of avocado sauce rather overpowered the salmon and the shredded white fish had a slightly perfumed flavour. The steak main course was fine with tasty chips and whilst ok the fish brochette again gave a perfumed taste. The accompanying rice was fine. The desserts were the best course. The assiette is a variety of apple desserts and was lovely, as was the creme caramel. Service was very fast. For our needs it was fine and reasonable value with a pleasant owner who served us well."

"the limited choice of dishes (4 admissions, 4 dishes, 4 desserts) I enjoyed a lot because it is a very inventive kitchen, which uses fresh and seasonal products with all homemade. Moreover, the card remains varied and each can find its account, and it changes regularly. The dishes are well presented, copied, and really good! the "old school" decor is very nice. only flat (one is needed) was service. the waitress was very pleasant, but in the rush; which makes that one is often forgotten and that one must demand several times before having water, bread, ice etc ... I do not hold it rigor because the restaurant was crowded (it was a Friday night of July 14) and that the waitress was alone for the whole room. we had booked a table on the terrace and when we arrived, surprise, our reservation had passed to the trap! more room on the terrace. So the waitress found a quick arranger to find us a table in the room that has quite agreed to us. To conclude it is a restaurant that I strongly recommend, because despite a service that can do better, the food is excellent, and that is the most important. Moreover the value/price ratio is very interesting. Enjoy!"

"frequented for a lunch from noon to 2.Prices are very high compared to quality but also to the prices of a classic crêperie. Correct service, neither warm nor completely unpleasant. having ordered a perigourdine salad at €11.30, the proposed plate is composed of a bunch of iceberg lettuce surmounted by another pile of persilded potato, which dice-cut potatoes are floury and the parsillad comes from a ready-made ducro-style preparation. The duck magret is correct. On the other hand, where there is a lie, it's on the announcement in the map of the presence of "fats on blinis". blinis there is indeed, on the other hand what is served copied on it in the form of medallions is duck mousse and not foie gras! I find it irrespective to serve a salad of such a gustative poverty as it is so simple to prepare something good. the cherry on the cake being that we take the customer for an imbecile and that in addition the prices are very high compared to what we find in the plate."

"Passez votre chemin, temps d’attente beaucoup trop long. Nous sommes venus le week-end des Médiévales. Samedi, nous avons décidés de manger dans ce petit restaurant avant le spectacle nocturne. Nous sommes arrivés un peu avant 20h30 et Nous avons attendu, attendu, attendu. Aucun mot, aucune explication du serveur. On attend sans comprendre. On s’était dit qu’on avait largement le temps de manger plat/dessert/café avant le spectacle nocturne à 22h30. Au final, on a mangé en vitesse, car notre commande a été prise au bout d’1h. L’enfant qui était avec nous n’a pas mangé son dessert compris dans son menu, car pas de temps. Nous avons demandé un petit geste, mais on nous a répondu « c’est les vacances, l’attente est normale comme on est que deux. Donc pas de geste possible ». J’ai mis 2 étoiles car la nourriture est correcte mais pas exceptionnelle et ne vaut vraiment pas l’attente. On ne reviendra pas et on déconseillera à quiconque de venir manger dans ce restaurant."

"Il y a 7 ans nous étions logés prêt de Falaises notre logeuse nous avait conseillé une bonne crêperie LE ROZELL. Nous en sommes ressorties enchantés par la qualité de la cuisine. Les garnitures des galettes sont cuisinées maison, pas de boites de conserves ouverte et déposées sans préparations. Satisfait de notre repas. De retour dans la région, nous avons décidé de retourner dans cette crêperie LE ROZELL pour voir si les galettes étaient toujours aussi bonnes. Comme il y a quelques années bonne surprise la crêperie est toujours tenue par la même personne qui cuisine toujours aussi bien les garnitures servis dans les galettes et les crêpes. Nous avons discuté avec la patronne Fanny de son prénom une personne charmante et agréable qui apprécie les épicuriens. Nous pensons qu'il y a eu un malentendu avec cette famille américaine qui c'est plain d'avoir été mal reçu la barrière de la langue ne facilitant pas les échanges. Quand nous reviendrons du côté de Falaise, nous n'hésiterons pas à rendre visite à Fanny pour déguster a nouveau ses fameuses galettes et ses crêpes. Inutile de vous dire que nous recommandons Encore merci à Fanny pour son accueil et sa gentillesse et bien sûr sa cuisine."
