"Rarely do I get the time or the motivation to review a stay at an establishment. However, The Hare and Hounds at Bowland Bridge stands head and shoulders above the norm and truly deserves a review. Over the years I have travelled extensively both in the British Isles and Overseas and it is very rare that I find an establishment that one simply cannot find fault. Last week, was my second stay at the Hare and Hounds, Bowland Bridge and it is the perfect overnight stay for when I have been driving South after working in Northern Scotland. The location and everything that this establishment offers presents an ideal and very cathartic stop for me after working away for long periods of time. The problem with the Hare and Hounds Inn is that everything is so professionally created with support from a warm and helpful team, both front and back of house, that it then tempts one to try desperately hard to try and find fault in something. I have a very detailed and critical eye, but I can honestly say that I cannot find fault in any aspect of this wonderful Inn. This place is great. Fabulous tasty food. And the host was so nice. Invited us to take part in a pub quiz which was so much fun. The surroundings are lovely and clean.

we had a two-day stay in the hare and hounds and was treated to a beautiful room comfortable bed and a large bathroom beautiful large bathroom and a plentiful shower. very friendly staff. eating nice nothing was too much annoyed. the weather was very wet cant do anything about the weather, but back to the hotel to a beautiful wood burner very toasty xxx a visit worth xx

very beautiful! so absolutely beautiful! the food was delicious! I had some garlic mushrooms as an appetizer. they were what I expected, but they were delicious. then it was lammed with roasted kartoffels, some sweet potato, some kind of pan roasted brot on the tip (sorry I don't remember what was from the menu) and some reed. I don't like to beet and it was listed as seasonal root plant, I think, but that's good. oh and gravy. the court was delicious! dessert was sticky toffee pudding and that was great! i highly recommend the English garden or gin garden cocktail. soy soo delicious! the first time I had this before and I ordered it a few different places now gin, elderflower liqueur, apple...
