"Been to the Harvey's in Llandudno a few times in the past and thought to try out this one in Bangor Before visiting, we had checked on their website for any covid related info (non to mention on the website) so headed over to get a table, however on arrival we were told that it was pre-bookings only, but thankfully as it was only the three of us that they could squeeze us in. Food as always was great, (I had the 4x4 burger, pictured) our server was attentive the only downside I could mention was after ordering our desserts, the order had somehow been forgotten and went unnoticed for 20+ mins resulting in a bit of a rushed remedy resulting in a cold, hot chocolate fudge cake. If you do attempt the 4x4 tower burger, make sure to ask for an extra slice of cheese on the bottom burger, that final piece of meat is just too plain without it considering the whole burger is 32oz in meat. Good luck"

We had a wonderful dining experience with not many patrons inside. The staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The food was surprisingly delicious and beautifully presented. The place was clean and lovely, and we were pleasantly surprised by everything. I honestly don't know why we waited so long to visit! Plus, there was ample parking available.

This restaurant is a fantastic find! The staff is incredibly attentive and goes above and beyond to meet your needs. The food is genuinely good—I'd rate it a solid 8/10. My only critique is that the toppings on the pizza, like the beets and paprika, are a bit too large for my taste. The decor is meticulously designed, capturing the vintage Coca-Cola machine vibe and the entire American diner aesthetic. It was a delightful experience for me and my friends. I will definitely be returning! Ver carta

We hadn't visited Harvey's since the start of the pandemic, and with a new KFC opening nearby, I was curious to see if they had made any improvements to their menu. We went there yesterday, and it was quieter than I remembered from our previous visits. My mom enjoyed the rosé, pizza, and New Yorker cheesecake. I opted for Harvey's mega milkshake, chili dog, and wail, and I must say, everything was still very good. I would recommend this place to others; the staff were very welcoming, and the service was excellent. It's a great spot to eat, and I just hope it's not like the ones in Rhuddlan and Pwllheli.

We visited this little gem in a hidden place next to Tesco. We visited all the way from midlands and though the style was fantastic. The atmosphere feels like frankie and Bennie or evening a hint of TgiFridays. (But a little quiet for a Sunday evening) I ordered a Harvey tower and my partner ordered bbq burger but basically the same but without the pulled pork and bacon. I rate the food 3.5 out of a 5 star. Presentation is perfect but the burger itself was a little dry and has bits of the processed meat of marrow or bones. Burger was a little dry maybe too well done for our liking. But over all this place is fantastic.! Should support a small business like this!

"Tl;dr this chef and this team are on their way to a Michelin star, so get a reservation while you can. We visited here Saturday 29, where we enjoyed the tasting menu by current chef John Hollywood. Their tasting menu is averagely priced, comparable to Dublin’s Bastible, with 6 courses actual, and plenty of wine. Aside from the setup, nothing else is average. The staff at Boat House are second to none. The atmosphere is similar to Hof van Cleve, with chirpy, witty staff happily serving customers and following the mood of the table. Their sommelier and wine pairing is particularly special, with each bottle subverting the trend, unexpected, but without compromising on quality (see: Bastible cannot figure out wine). Their sommelier is a wine nerd who’s happy to go into as much depth as you want, but you feed off the passion between courses, which is a really great dynamic between the staff and the table this is rare, usually only achieved at top star restaurants. I’ve never found this in the island of Ireland. The food itself is the perfect mix of foraged from land and sea, each dish testing and surprising you, but with some classics mixed in (beef Barolo your reward for trusting the chef). On the whole, the menu seems designed to subvert comfort you in equal measure, and succeeds with every course. You won’t find the same level of experimentation from many of the Italian tasting menus on the circuit, but that comes with the assurances of consistent quality and a journey that’ll never let you down, where subversive wine pairings inject a level of exciting chaos without risking the food. Between the atmosphere, staff, and chemistry at the table in the kitchen, a trip to Boat House can be held in the same regard as some of the world’s top Michelin star restaurants. They’re on the way. They have the ingredients, whether you know it or not. Better start those birthday reservations now."
