Haughton Chippy - Carta

I loved it and I’m hard to please. Delicious. Fish cooked to order. Perfect! Would definitely recommend.

Not impressed at all , chips cooked some time ago all went in the bin. Fish ok sorry we will not visit again

On the expensive side. Not great. Fish utterly tasteless. Only visited as the best fish 'n ' shop in Darlington recently closed. Won 't be trying again.

Drove all this way to darlo because my Mam always sed it wos gud but was very underwhelmed when they only gave me 30 chip and forgot me mushy peas. Since when does a chippy do pizzas? This is not an Italian restaurant this is a England chip. Anyway UTB

After not having eaten fish and chips in over a year, I decided to stop by this seafood restaurant today for lunch. I was welcomed by a very friendly mother and son duo who chatted with me as my order was being prepared. I ordered Smokey and chips with scraps, and it was absolutely delicious - perfectly cooked, crispy, and hot. I will definitely be returning in the future.

This is our second time ordering from this restaurant, hoping for a better experience after being disappointed the first time. We ordered the fish and chips four times. Unfortunately, the batter was undercooked, the fish lacked flavor, and the chips were not what we expected - they looked more like leftover scraps that other chip shops wouldn't use. I prefer my chips to actually contain potato. Please see the photo for reference. We were served four plates of these tough, crunchy shavings.

I ordered a Parmo, but was disappointed with the presentation and taste. The dish came in a pizza box with the chips on top, making it difficult to eat out of the flimsy box. The Parmo itself was overcooked, with a dark crumb on the bottom and dry meat. The chips were average, with some bits being overcooked. Overall, for £9.24 plus delivery, it wasn't a cheap meal. My wife's meal was okay, with similar issues regarding the quality of the chips. However, the chicken nuggets were plentiful. Overall, we found the meal to be pretty poor in comparison to other experiences we've had. Ver carta
