I told the server I was coeliac and she was immediately helpful. Gave me her tablet so I could check her recommendations. I had salmon, mash and green veg. she reassured me that she had noted I was coeliac and that all utensils would be kept separate. Very reassuring and helpful. Ver carta

The food was poor quality and not value for money. I had the half roast chicken with mash and corn on the cob. There was 3 mouth fulls of mash and the corn on the cob was 2 inches in size and was poorly cooked. My daughters steak and chips off the kids menu was also not value for money and even came with a free desert. These meals including a pint of shandy and 2 refillable Pepsi came to £35. I won't be going again!!!

really nice place and very friendly staff. the vegetarian dishes my gast tried to order were not there and my gast had to go with fish and chips. I went well with Sirloin medium, and it was really good. juicy and tasty as I expected. the cheese was yams! the fish and chips were also decent. not complaining. only until the whole experience was the strange smell and was slightly sharp. that would make the experience of the customer much better.

didn't know it was worth eating for money. we sit in the toby calvary a few days later for half price. starts we are on the small side, steaks were hard and chips were cold. entire environment looked sloping. could do with new table, chairs, carpets etc. I know it's christmas and we all celebrate, but we sat next to the table of people who were extremely loud and their speech for a group of women was lazy. the best in our evening was the waiter, very friendly and apologised for the behavior of the others diner. Didnt feel that the food was value for money. We sit at the Toby Calvary a couple of days later for half the price. Starts we’re on the small side, steaks were tough and chips were cold. Overall surroundings looked shabby. Could do with new table, chairs, carpets etc. I know it’s Xmas and we are all celebrating but we were sat next to table of people that were extremely loud and their language for a group of ladies was foul. Best thing about our evening was the waiter, very friendly and did apologise for the behaviour of the other diners.

the service was first brilliant, unfortunately the lady who took our order to the left. they didn't let us know or hand us over to a new server, which meant that we couldn't get the attention of someone else as they were all busy with their tables. we went into the cash to pay the bill which we did not make, but the service behind the cash was not so pleasant. the food was nice and quickly delivered, hot and tasty. Perhaps the cook that came out of the kitchen to serve the salatable, could have covered his dirty top and have been a bit more helpful. overall the experience was good and although I addressed some points, I would come back.

Absolutely lovely. They were very busy, had to wait at the bar for half hour before we could be seated, which was fine as we hadn't booked and there were plenty of drink choices. Was greeted by a very friendly gentleman (unfortunately didn't catch his name, I believe he was a manager) who was very calm and pleasant despite the rush. Was taken care of by Cheryl, who was the sweetest! Very bubbly, kind and considerate and despite being rushed off her feet always made sure us, and all her other tables, were happy and had everything we needed, even had a bit of a conversation when she could too!
