I visited the restaurant for lunch after a nice walk. The food was enjoyable, but they didn't sell sweet sherry and seemed unfamiliar with it. Overall, I would rate the service and location both as 5 out of 5. Ver carta

We visit this restaurant frequently, and it never disappoints. They usually offer several options on the menu, but the standout dish is definitely the vegan fish and chips. The staff is wonderful, and the pub has a great atmosphere. I can't recommend it highly enough!

We had been having a tough time finding good vegan options in Norfolk until we discovered The Hero, which is conveniently located near our accommodation. We enjoyed a delightful Sunday lunch featuring a mushroom and leek wellington with all the traditional sides. It even included a delicious vegan cauliflower cheese! Ver carta

The staff are great here. Very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed the.food and the overnight stay. We will definitely go out of our way to stay here again next tome we come to Norfolk!!! The Hero is a fantastic pub that caters wonderfully to vegans. Their vegan fish and chips are incredible, made with banana blossom, and they even offer it at a lower price than the regular version. Depending on the menu—whether it's lunch, dinner, or Sunday—they typically have a vegan burger, risotto, roast, and a couple of sandwiches as well.
