"After searching for a pub that was still open, we stumbled upon a restaurant with a 4.9 Google rating. Despite its unassuming exterior, the place was packed and we were lucky to snag the last table. We ordered the 3 Meat Dinner, which came with delicious homemade hash and a generous portion of veggies and gravy. The desserts were traditional and satisfying, made with care like your grandma used to make. We left five hours later, thoroughly satisfied with our £33 meal. Definitely worth a try."

"Very disappointing I could of cooked better at home , no atmosphere not as enjoyable as it could of been ,over priced food the nicest thing was the mussels no bread served with the mussels)and sea food platter , sorry won’t be returning. "The menu at Taste Buds Wakefield may not be extensive, and if you're looking for a hot cooked meal, this might not be the place for you. However, if you're in the mood for a delicious bacon or sausage butty, a toasted panini, or some amazing baked treats, then this is definitely worth a visit. The staff, two lovely ladies, were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure that our visit was memorable. They took great care of us from start to finish. Even my picky niece was pleased with her deconstructed bacon, sausage, and egg sandwich. My cheese and pickle sandwich was pre-packed, which was a bit disappointing, but everything else, including the coffee, was excellent. I'm sure we'll be back soon to indulge in those delicious brownies."

"I used to visit this place years ago when the previous owner ran it and the food, service and portions were Fantastic. Then I moved away. I visited Wakefield today and thought I’d call in, and I ordered a chicken curry on the bone and chapatis. The bowl of curry was small and only half full, also there it was on the bone, so even less meat. I was absolutely shocked and had to mention this to the lady serving. Her answer was every where else is more expensive than here, with a smirk. I was stuck for words. I ate my curry in less than 2 minutes, paid and left. What a rip off. She clearly knew what she was doing. You can’t bump the prices up and decrease the portions! Even the take away curry portions in the plastic containers were half full. Never again!"

"Real mixed bag. We had 4 starters and the Sunday dinners (Chicken and beef). First the bad, the chicken thogh meatballs were shocking. No flavour, tasted sour, really bad. Tempura prawns were OK, but 4 prawns for £10 is really poor value. The seaweed that came with the prawns was chewy and not Crispy. Burnt ends and Sriricha ribs were good. Sunday dinner was really good. Meal type: Dinner"
