Hickory's - Carta

First time we visited today for lunch and what a fantastic experience it was. Our waiter (sorry I didn’t catch his name! was brilliant and so polite. Nothing was too much trouble. The other servers were wonderful too so want to give them a shout out too as they really added to our experience. The food was absolutely outstanding and even our 7 year old who never comments on restaurants we visit said it was fantastic. We can’t wait to visit again!Thank you :

Was quite disappointed with our visit today., even with the government eat out to help out discount I felt we’d overpaid for the food and service we received.. Covid Awareness was very good but the service we received was quite poor,I.e we were waiting ages for drinks, to be spotted, to be served,Boone asked if our food was ok (it wasn’t) etc.. although staff were standing around chatting quite a lot.. The food was hit and miss.. Some things were lovely but others inedible.. would I visit again? No..

Visited on a Friday dinner time. Plenty of tables...we were given a covid 19 briefing as we entered. Staff weren't wearing PPE but perplex screens were placed around seating so felt safe.The food was amazing! I ordered the pulled pork and my husband ordered the platter for one. The standard of food was top notch. We loved the little touches like having kitchen roll at your table, popcorn given as a welcome and a complimentary bottle of water.Thank you for the great hospitality Hickory's...see you again very soon. It takes alot for me to vote 5 stars i would have to have an amazing experience and be blown away by the taste of the food. They certainly took me by surprise. As this was our first visit we decided to go for the share platter so we can try abit of everything. The food didnt take too long and came piping hot. The brisket and pulled pork was literally melting in my mouth... i was blown away by the flavours and i knew from the first bite this was going to be one of my favourite places to eat from now on. Without a doubt we will be returning! Well done hickorys keep up the good work :

My wife, friends and I went to Hickory's last night. It was our friends' first time at the restaurant and they were impressed. The atmosphere was inviting, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We started with fried chicken and corn dogs, which left us craving more. For our main course, three of us had the Texas beef brisket, which was heavenly. My wife had the chicken fried waffle, a seemingly simple dish with outstanding flavors. The desserts were a perfect end to the meal. We enjoyed Hickory's signature cocktails and pale ale. Our friends are already planning their next visit, and my wife and I will continue to be regulars as long as the food remains top quality.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience at Hickory’s for dinner. The atmosphere upon entering the building was great, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server, Dan, was friendly and professional, despite the restaurant being busy on a Saturday night. We were served promptly and the food was delicious, with the chicken in a basket and nachos being standout dishes. The burgers we ordered for our mains were also excellent, with generous portions and everything served hot and fresh. Hickory’s sets a high standard for other restaurants to follow. The only downside was that I was too full to try the chocolate cake for dessert, but I will definitely save room for it on our ne... Ver carta

I visited Hickory's in August 2020. The food was okay and arrived quickly. The staff were friendly. However, when we received the bill, my husband noticed that there was an automatic £5.00 tip added to the total amount. It was stated at the bottom of the bill that the tip could be removed without any awkwardness. I asked a member of staff to remove the tip, but it took a while and the staff member didn't seem too happy about it. I always leave a tip when I eat out, but I found this practice unacceptable and cheeky. Many customers may not even realize that the tip is automatically added to their bill. The place seemed to be trying a little to hard to fall inline with its theme.Food was delivered to the table quickly so no problems there, food was average nothing like an experience from a true american smokehouse if your fortunate enough to experience that!.Food and drinks are massively overpricedBut the biggest annoyance of all, is there automatically applied service fee. Visited for lunch. As it was our 1st visit here the waitress said she would fetch us a sample taster of the brisket. It was one slice for us to share before deciding on our order. My partner decided to have the brisket and i chose pulled pork. Both our orders came with slaw and fries. We were asked if we just wanted the 'dusting ' on our fries or wanted the extra cheesey topping. We said just the dusting would be fine (it mentions magic dusting on the menu . The food arrived quickly and was delicious. However when the bill arrived we had been charged £1.75 for our sample as well as 50p extra each for the dusting on the fries.
